we'll make our mouths bleed. I used to live in New Mexico, and man oh man, people out here (RI) have no concept of what HOT food is. In NM they eat chilli for breakfast, lunch and dinner... red or green???

I found the name of the guy who did Gambit's voice for the X Men cartoon in the 90's his name is Chris Potter and he looks like he could do a good Gambit, he also starred in Silk Stalkings and I never saw it but I'm sure it's sexy with lots of action.

i know. that spider thing was nasty. good question about the gumbo. ummm ... well, okay. basically, there is anything and everything in gumbo. it usually has some things the same. like i always add onions and green pepper. theres supposed to be celery, but i hate it. i make up for it with a lot of spice. also i always have roux and filé powder, which you cant have gumbo without. there are so many different things that can be in gumbo, though. different people make it different ways, and i swear. i have never had two pots of gumbo the same. you can add green onions, garlic, cayenne pepper, black pepper, dry mustard, paprika, sage, cumin, bay leaves, thyme and parsley, sausage, tasso , crawfish , crab , shrimp , oysters , chicken, duck , rabbit , dove, squirrel, possum, nutria (giant rat things - they're so gross!), frog or alligator (which is pretty good, by the way). i never add seafood or game if i can help it, so i usually have a spicy chicken or alligator gumbo. and always sausage. yummy. i dunno, really. maybe you should look up gumbo on google or something. cause i really don't know whats in anyones gumbo but mine. in fact, i looked it up. if you go to h t t p : // allrecipes . com / advice / coll / all / articles / 78p1 . a s p ( there really arent any spaces, its just i cant add hyperlinks) its a really good site if youre curious. i went on it, and copied the possible ingredients 'cos im too lazy to type them. the best quote on there, i now use on you. every pot of gumbo is different. there's no such thing as a definitive gumbo recipe. anyway, gumbo is a mishmash of whatever you feel like cooking. pretty much. with a lot of spices. its so bad for you. im gonna die when im thirty of a heart attack. and then the gumbos gonna dig me up and kill me again. ooooh, boy tough. its good. cool about chris potter. does he have a good accent? i sure hope he does. anyway. i am hungry, its only ten but i stayed up all night at a church activity and then remy said hes taking me to his old house, which is up north somewhere in bayou country, tomorrow after church and voice and i cant wait. itll be fun. so im gonna go get some munchies (im thinking doritos, no yucky leftovers for me), and then im gonna crash. so ill talk to y'all later. cy'all.

Yeah, I love Chris Potter's vioce as Gambit, I couldn't imagine a better one. It's the voice in my head when I read the comic.
You need to check it out though Laurel because no one knows a good cajun/New Orleans accent on this forum better than you I am sure. I will certainly make some gumbo of my own, alligator... where can you buy that??? I've had ostrich and buffalo a lot in New Mexico it's great and I like ostrich best. I thought gumbo was good for you... how is it bad??? spicy food is very good for your metabolism and I thought it was good for you in general. Nasty spider gumbo, that's funny.
I've been keeping tabs on the X3 movie, waiting patiently to see if Gambit will be in it and I read an old article by the producer, who produced the last two movies and will be producing this one and she said that there will definatly be a Gambit in the 2nd movie, but he wasn't in it because they wanted more screen time for Nightcrawler... he didn't even have that much himself... disappointing... so there is a fair chance he will be in this one but there are a bunch of reasons the old director did not want him, there is a new director though so we'll have to see. It won't be much longer though, they were supposed to start filming in March but they moved it back to June or July and yet they still have to keep the release date of July 2006. They don't even know what to do it seems, hope they don't screw Gambit.
