Hi all! It's been a while since I've been on here!
I still say that Harry and Ginny will be together, and Ron and Hermione will be together.
TAke, for instance, the book standup. Hermione and Ron are down in the corner, looking cozy and snuggle-y, and Ginny's in the other corner. She'd be WITH Someone, but she's looking up at Harry as if to say, "My love, I'm down here!!.." 🙂
Ananbelle has a point. And I agree with Tigress, I think Ron and Hermione would stay together. The only thing that could keep them apart would be death, and that will, hopefully, not happen. And if Ron were to die, Hermione just wouldn't end up with harry. and if neither of them die, I think they will stay together. And Harry and Ginny would be a cute couple, and imagine harry and Ginny getting married. Harry and Ron would be brother-in-laws. Then if Ron marries hermione, they'll all be one, big, happy family. 😄

But we just don't see Ginny around Harry enough to know. I mean even in the 2nd book, they didn't talk that much. The most interaction we saw between them ever was in the 5th book

agreed. Thats why I dont see Harry and Ginny being together. Ginny had a little girl crush on Harry, but from what we've seen on OOTP she's daiting tons of other guys, so she's obviously not reserving herself for Harry. Plus they just dont interact enough to show any depth or closeness in their relationship
Ginny is around Harry mostly in the 5th book, so it doesn't have as much to do with the 2nd book or anything.
#1Rupert Lover, you have a point. If Ron died, Hermione's not the kind of person to go persuing Harry. It's just not how she works or who she is.
For now Harry and Ginny are friends, but friends first is such an evident line that I think by the time the seventh book rolls around they will be together.

I don't know about Ron and Luna liking each other, I never said that. But I do think that they would make an excellent couple. I don't really see Ron and Hermione as a couple. All of there little "spats" doesn't really see to me that they like each other. In fact, some of their arguements seem nothing more than a brother/sister quarrel. I don't see any romance there.

Yes! I see Ron and Hermione being much more brother -sister then actually liking eachother. I think all of Ron's "jealously" about krum and stuff was mroe of brotherly protection, because he acted the exact same way with any boy ginny was daiting in OOTP. As soon as he found out they were an item he started hating them. You'd think if they were an item he would treat her differently then he does his sister.

"Yeah, I know I did," he said looking mildly surprised.
"She didn't enjoy it very much," Luna informed him. "She doesn't think you treated her very well, because you
wouldn't dance with her. I don't think I'd have minded," she added thoughtfully, "I don't like dancing very
much."
She retreated behind The Quibbler again. Ron stared at the cover with his mouth hanging open for a few
seconds, then he looked at Ginny for some kind of explanation, but Ginny had stuffed her knuckles in her
mouth to stop herself from giggling. Ron shook his head, bemused, then checked his watch.

Now the first thing I want to draw your attention to is the fact that Luna is gazing unblinkingly at Ron. She's
staring at him and staring pretty hard. I think that Luna is taking a good long look at Ron and as I'll explain
later I think she likes what she sees.
Next we have the fact that Ron swallows his mouthful of Frog. First it's great to see Ron remember his manners
for a minute but the fact that Luna made him swallow (a mouthful of Frog no less) suggest that Ron liked
Luna's looks as well.
Then we have the fact that Luna knows about Ron and Padma's date at the Yule Ball. More importantly she
bothered to remember it. Luna is expressing a curiosity in Ron. Ron being Harry's friend is probably very well
known around the school. But Luna is more interested in personal information about Ron.
Luna then points out that she wouldn't have minded going to the Yule Ball with Ron. Even though it seems that
a date with Ron can be little or no fun at this point. Luna is dropping a hint at Ron that she wouldn't mind a
date with him. After she makes this suggestion she retreats behind the Quibbler so we don't get a reaction from
Luna (a brief Interruption in a way).
Ron seeks Ginny’s (stress Ginny and not Hermione) thoughts on what is going on and Ginny's reaction is
very interesting. Ginny and Luna know each other and I think that it's possible that in Luna's own way she has
told Ginny that she finds Ron attractive and wouldn't mind seeing him.

a good night for Ron as he was supposed to be in the throngs of romantic jealously. But Luna bringing up this
night in question doesn't make him mad in any shape or form. Instead he's surprised and amused at Luna
talking to him about this supposedly painful night.
Now to finish, I said that Luna probably finds Ron physically attractive. And I think this for a couple of reasons
1) She is gazing at him a little intensely (unblinkingly/staring)
2) She wouldn't have minded going to the Yule Ball with him although she knows little about him personally and
what she knows is second hand at this point. So she found Ron rather good looking and wouldn't have minded
going with him.
3) I think that she told Ginny at some point that she found her brother to be quite handsome.
(Mad Eye Mike) Ron would LOVE a girl who looked up to him and paid him that kind of attention. To add to
Hawk's post, let me point out a couple of other times Luna flirted with Ron:
1. Basically told him she wouldn't mind going on a date with him [as Hawk said]

Luna is so into Ron it's not even funny. Ron is as clueless about Luna as Harry is about Hermione.

specifically came over to their table and wished Ron good luck not both Harry and Ron.

1. Luna is in a different class year than Padma. We know different years don't interact much. Perhaps, Luna
asked Padma about how her night went with Ron to get some dirt on him.
2. Ron acting "bemused" and "mildly surprised"? We all know from previous years how Ron interacts with girls,
which is rather brutally. He doesn't act like that with Luna at all.

in an inside pocket.

'Here you are' she said, He's a sweet little owl, isn't he?'
'Er...yeah...he's all right' said Ron gruffly. ' Well, come on, lets get in...what were you saying Harry?'

Well, maybe Luna would just like to help Harry here, but the way she tries to spark an odd conversation with
Ron may suggest she carried Pigwidgeon just to talk with Ron

is so much unexpected that I nearly fall from the chair as I read it.

No, Ron and Hermione's relationship is a lot more like a love relationship. they argue a lot more like a married couple than a brother and sister. And trust me, Ron doesn't flip out like he flips out about Hermione going out with a guy when Ginny goes out with someone. When He heard about Ginny going out with someone, he was just surprised and a little upset that he didn't know about it. Plus, I have a feeling he wants Ginny to go out with Harry for some reason. With Hermione, on the other hand, he bursts out in anger and starts yelling at Hermione. He doesn't do that when it comes to Ginny's relationships. Now Harry and Hermione are a lot more Brotherly-sisterly toward eachother. And as I keep saying, It's probably more likely that Hermione will start dating a guy other than Harry.

Well, I honestly think that Luna might have a crush on Ron, But I don't think Ron has a crush on Luna. plus, Ron thinks luna's a little weird. Though Luna might also have a crush on Harry. That could be possible. Plus, Luna's really weird, and it could just be her weirdness confusing us, as well. She's quite a bothersome character to figure out. Though if it were true that Ron likes Luna, I would probably want to try out for the role of Luna in an instant, and maybe even beg for the role. I think you all know why I would. 😄
Oh, and I have another few things I spotted about the whole Luna and Ron thing. when you said "Ron is as clueless about Luna as Harry is about Hermione." Harry doesn't get confused when Hermione says stuff. Ron's ALWAYS confused with Luna. And I could understand why. She's really a confusing person. So Harry and Hermione's relationship is nothing alike to Ron and Luna's "Relationship". Because Harry seems to get as confused as Ron when around Luna. there's only one explanation about luna's attitude, She's weird.
