erm who said that plz dont tell....wait a minute jkr would never ever say something from the book out loud to everyone!!!! i know so jkr is very secretive she would never tell anyone about whats in her new book.... not even her close friend sean....heres a quote:Will Ron and Hermione ever get together?

This is an old quote, from i think either when POA or GOF was coming out. In those books, yes, they were very platonic and didn't go on a date, so that quote is correct for those books. That quots isn't about the future, just about the book she was promoting, which im pretty sure was GOF. I think the "wink wink" part is about harry liking cho and hermione "dating" krum in GOF.

Romance, however, is a part of the plot in the series that add interest. In this case, a lot of interest. Which is why we are pledged to it.
nnnoooo... i really don't see it that way. Yes she looks after him and tries to take care of him, but I see that as one of the strengths of their relationship and part of why it would be so good if they got together. She's the only girl that appears to truly care about harry's mental and physical well being. I think Mrs. Weesly is more of the mother figure for Harry, for obvious reasons.

Okay, now here is my pitch on why Harry and Hermione shouldn't be together. In another thread that I had just recently started about the connections between Harry Potter and the Gang and James and his gang, Harry connected to James as Hermione is connected to Lupin. Now, if you haven't noticed, Lupin and James never hooked up, but if I find a way to link Lily with anyone else, I could figure out who Harry will be with.

Well I would expect James not to go with Lupin, since he's not gay.
There are similarities between the two "gangs", but only characteristic. James and Lily pretty much were a very unlikely pair at OWLs, but as Lupin said: "He deflated his head a bit in the seventh year."

JKR does give big hints regarding shipping, such as the one I posted fromt he Edinburgh Book Festival, because she believes that it's obvious anyway, and not a pivotal point of the plot.

Yep, I second that Dark! I've heard the quote about harry and hermione being platonic friends millions of times (it's what other ships use as their main evidence) and it does nothing to sway my opinion. Plus I find it really hard to get any kind of concerte evidence from anything JKR ever says, since she's so clever about not giving ANYTHING away. I wish she did though 🙁
