Yeah, I can. It's called getting a bit of independence. I just get irked by the fact that people buy an album, listen to it a bit and act like they're mad into the band.

I'm trying to organise a situation whereby I can attend that show in California anyway, one of them.

I'd never even heard of Tool until this year, but I like their stuff. Hell, I hadn't even heard of System of a Down before until last year, now they're my favourite band.

System of a Down are much easier to get into than Tool, entirely different bands and music.

The first time I heard Tool was when I saw Schism on MTV.

Yeah but its not like Im jumping on the bandwagon and saying Im one of their 'truer' fans, I just heard that song, thought it was cool, then started listening to more of them. I havent heard all their stuff yet.

Yeah...I dunno, when you, Lana, Rev and AC were talking about it all the time before it came out, I wasnt really paying attention, but then after hearing the song I liked it.

I was trying to stop people banging on about it, actually. Hence why I avoided the thread a lot then.

It wasn't Ken either, it was Stinkfist and Dragonnis. Unless you mean the OTF.

I think he meant the OTF...Lana, Rev, and I talked about it a little bit after hearing it on the radio.

Uhh, no Ken, I never did talk about it after hearing it on the radio because I didn't hear it on the radio until after I had the album. Whenever it came on we switched to another station or turned it off altogether.

At any rate, tickets for their Chicago concert went on sale...if I remember correctly, it's September 13th. Momo and I are going to try and go. And damnit, I could have been able to afford those tickets...ugh...should have the money to buy them with in a couple days.

I apologize for anything I may have said that mislead you to believe anything about me, I would like to know exactly what you mean though.
And yes, I do infact realize that I was going on about it, and shouldn't have been, but I've been a Tool fan since AEnima. And I have never been a band wagon person, I just have difficulties in saying exactly what's on my mind, but I still wanted to be part of the forum(because I enjoy speaking to people with a common interest, Tool I don't like to consider a "common interest" though, and many of you are obviously intellegent people whom I like to hear the opinion's of), probaly should of just refrained from speaking at all, but I didn't, unfourtunatly. I really tend to dislike most of the popular bands, not just because they're popular and I want to rebel, but because I don't feel that kind of music, I'm still not saying exactly what I mean. But all I'm trying to say is I'm sorry for any misinterpretation of me, or how I feel about the music I love, that's the last thing I want.

And I'll admit that I wasn't a fan at first, they took a while to grow on me, I was like meh Tool, but now they're by far my favorite band. I love quite a few out there, but to me Tool stands head and shoulders above the rest. No band can make me feel like Tool can, or experience what I do while listening to their music.

They are one of those bands that are like the everlasting gobbstopper of bands.

speaking of tool. i got my ticket in the mail yesterday. now to wait til 9/16
