O...M....G....how could they have f**ked this up so badly. The rufus, kadaj scene was pitiful, just pitiful. The voice dubbing doesnt even go with this picture. It sounds like the dialogue is from another movie, the mixing was rushed I can tell.

You guys were all better off downloading the film months ago. The jap version blows this one out of the water. After seeing these clips, i wont even need to view the whole film, to know i will be dissapointed.

The Japanese audio track is included in the Stateside/European release, so you'll probably be using that, then.

Just watched the movie, pretty good, kinda rushed, shoulda been longer to fully flesh out the story they were doing, not enough time spent with the supporting characters. The voiceover work ranged from very good to laughably bad, depending on character and scene.

All and all, worth watching if you're a fan of the game, though don't expect something that comes anywhere as close to the greatness of the story and character development of the game.

ya I hate Kadaj's voice but hey all english voice actors suck. But man I cant belive the guy who playes Raiden im MGS is Reno!!!. Man the Spirits within voice acting was better. Well probably cuz it had people like James woods in it

If you didn't see the movie in Japanese, I'm pretty sure your opinion would be quite different.

i pre-booked it, it comes out may 3rd in aus

Comments for the other video: Barret and Yuffie are meh. Vincent's English VA rocks, even if it is deeper than I would have been shooting for. Most important, though... The made Cid's weird accent work! I hate it in KH2, but here... guess Cid just needs to be in action mode to not sound annoyingly Southern, huh?

You say the Japanese Version "blows this one out of the water"(Implying that youv'e seen it). Then you say after seeing some clips on here you know the movie will be disappointing(Implying that you haven't seen it).

So have you seen it or not?

is it comprehensible.....

Four new clips have arisen, again. I've uploaded to YouTube, though the one with Kadaj is still 'processing' so it might be a bit before the link works, but it will work.

Cloud's Meeting with Aeris - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLlM3vgJc1Y

Reno and Rude vs. Yazoo and Loz - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_sVfPZcN6Ns

Cloud vs. Kadaj - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aa7rPe5eR4

Cloud vs. Sephiroth - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERvR1D0aTT8

All four clips can also be found at this YouSendIt link:

Hi! I LOVED this movie! I think my favorite part would be Tifa's fight and before and when Cloud was fighting Sepiroth! This movie was so cool! I really hope I'll get it!

Assumption can be a mans biggest f**k up my young friend. What i was implying is, the movie (in english) will be dissapointing (For myself). Sorry for not clairifying that. Dont get me wrong though, that aeris and cloud scene was touching. But im still unsatisfied, without a doubt they could have done better, with more time.

I finally saw the commercial for it. It's OK, they could of put more effort into it tho.

As I said, the scope of the story could have easily warranted a 3 hour film, I think it would have benefited greatly from the extra time.

If they were going to do that, then they still shouldn't have announced the film to the public, so by 2008 when they finished the movie, they'd give us some notice, some trailers, and have the movie out by the end of the year. Though I agree, for game movie plots to really unfold, there has to be a minimum on the explaination, which this doesnt really meet... but that also wasn't the movie's purpose, so hey. 😛

I'm hearing people are disappointed in the special features, that none of them were dubbed in english, but instead they're what the Japanese release was, just subtitled, and the trailers for Before Crisis/Crisis Core/Dirge of Cerberus are old trailers, not even the new ones that premiered at the English screening in CA... and that there is Japanese text in the beginning of the movie that was just subtitled.. basically... what the hell was Nomura working so hard on for so long?

I have a Japanese import DVD of this sitting on my DVD player waiting for me to watch.. haven't got around to it yet though..

...That's too bad...

but nomura only designed and directed the film.. I dont think he had anything to do with the actual content / extra content being contained in the bundle.. hell.. I dont even know if he casted the voice actors lol

From what I heard, he was working 'extremely hard on the American DVD." I don't know if it was interpretation or fact, but 'working on the American DVD' entailed the dub and moreso the Special Features.
