I don't think it's him (meaning Neville), but I do think think that he has a big part to play in the next 2 books. If he was the one, then the books wouldn't be called "Harry Potter and the...". They'd be "Neville Longbottom and the...". Also, he has to have a bigger part, or JK wouldn't have made a point about his wand being his dad's old wand, or that Neville's powers seem to be increasing (along with his confidence) thenks to Harry and the DA.

But anyways, i reckon that Neville will play a big role, he's steadily getting better, and the whole wand thing...plus hes gotta be wanting revenge.
i'm reading the first book again right now...and Neville is so cute...Malfoy puts a leglocker curse on him, and tells him hes not brave enough to be in Gryffindor. But then Harry tells him that hes worth 12 of Malfoy, and then Neville stands up to Malfoy and says "well, i'm worth 12 of you!" I love it! 🙂
