USH'S GAME EPISODE I- "AVALAR"- Light Side (Lance Windu, Gundark, Phinney)

Started by JediOasis46 pages

Oasis follows his friend Phinney to the disturbance. Feeling a strong sense of fear from the area Oasis knew the dark side was growing. He walked up to a local and with all the confidence of a Jedi Knight Oasis asked "We demand to know what is going on here?" Oasis was afraid of what the man was going to say...

The senior Space Traffic Controller, looking white and shaken, comes forwards.

"Nothing! Nothing going on here! Just a bit of local disturbance... um... close call up in the space lanes... please... go about your business..."

That person is still being sick. He appears to be one of the traffic controllers. In fact... a close look reveals it is the one the Cree (RC) contacted to get you landing clearance. Cree spoke to this man not long ago; he seemed just fine then!

SOMETHING is certainly up...

MOD NOTE

For various reasons, I have had to define what you guys are wearing and what you look like. I have tried to use your posts to guide me in making sure you look as much like you intend as possible.

RC is, as he specified, looking like a grizzled Mercenary, and fits in well with the crowd.

JO, I hope you don't mind, but I have you in a rather stylish leather set-up, much like that Hayden Christensen seems to be wearing in Ep. II shots.

Gundark, you are doing the full Master 'thing' robes, hood and everything.

Phinney, you are dressed in Jedi clothing but not the robes right now; just the tunic. Your hair is also still short because you only recently stopped being a Padawan.

Incidentally, LW has decided that he isn't on-line enough to play any more. I haven't had much luck finding you a repalcement. For the purposes oif the story, I am assuming that RC sent Lance Windu to Damagran in order to protect the people under threat there. So right now, you are a four man team.

If any of you have complaints about your look, just say the word...

"I don't believe you. I demand to know whats going on" Oasis told the man. Oasis placed his hand on his lightsaber, something deeper was going on here. The darkside was growing, and Oasis wanted to know what this place had to do with it.

"What?" says the man indignantly. "You have no authority here! How DARE you..."

Anoither man grabs him from behind.

"Are you insane? You want to get us into even MORE poodoo with these people?"

"I am a Jedi Knight, its my job to help those in danger. Something is going on here and if I don't find out, there will be trouble. Now, you seem like reasonable people, do you want to cause trouble with Jedi Knights?"

No-one answers. The senior traffic controller swallos heavily and sweat trickes down the side of his face. One man is still being ill on the floor.

JO, these people can't know much about Jedi. By the feel of it, they seriously think you are going to hurt them.

Sensing that nobody was going to answer Oasis removed his hand from his lightsaber and looked down at the man who was still on the ground. Oasis bent down, placed his hands on his head and felt the pain. Streaks of pain like he had never felt before went throughout his body. Oasis quickly pulled his hands off the man. He was at a loss for words, finally he uttered, "Master Gundark, what are we to do?"

JO, if you didn't know better... and you are not entirely sure if you DO know better... you would say someone had used the Force to reach inside this man and mess up his insides.

Not enough to kill him, though. What could be happening here?

Gundark politely nudged Oasis aside and stepped forward, dropping her hood and allowing her long hair to tumble down her back. Perhaps the agitated controller would respond more willingly to a female, albeit a stranger in Jedi robes. "We mean you no harm," she spoke in a quiet but authoritative tone. She reached out with the Force and her hand at the same time.

You feel the change in atmosphere as the man relaxes.

It's been a long time since you were out in the field, Gundark, but you haven't forgotten your years of experience in knowng just what is needed to calm a confused mind like this. Mind you, he has had one heck of a shock.

Even you are surprised when he drops to the floor and almost starts crying.

"Oh my, she was so HORRIBLE..." he says.

MOD NOTE: And a big welcome to the new Light Side player, yerssot...

While you people are trying to discover the link on Jaglon Beta that will unravel this mystery, things have been happening in the outside Galaxy.

The situation on Damagran itself has grown worse. The State Duma is even now debating the motion to declare independance from the Republic. The debate could take days or more, but if independance is declared then war is inevitable.

Still theire is no offical response from the Republic. And the Jedi Council fears for the safety of the team it has sent the Republic. An attempt has been made to contact Jaglon Beta, but all communication with the planet has been lost (which you guys will notice if you try and call anyone...).

The Jedi Order is severely undermanned. A rescue operation, if necessary, would be impossible, and the Republic is in no shape to help. And the Jedi do not even know what is going on out there.

One more Knight has been found who can be spared. His name is Yerssot. Yerssot has been furtively disaptched to Damagran itself. His mission is to meet Derin, leader of the pro-Republic faction, protect Derin from the rumoured assassination attempts he is worried about, and then convince him to launch an expedition to Jaglon Beta to see what is going on out there.

Yerssot, you have recently arrived on Damagran. Derin has met you with a great deal of relief- a Jedi Knight bodyguard is quite an asset! He is still extremely worried about assassination. He has provided you with cover- right now you are dressed as a member of the Damagran armed forces; no-one will suspect you are a Jedi.

Right now you are escorting him to the State Duma, where he plans to amke a pro-Republic speech. But the mood is grim; he expects the vote to go against him.

You talk with Derin for a little while; he seems an amiable, intelligent man. But then, yerssot, you got a great feeling of unease. Something is wrong...

The speeder scrolls over the landscape, inside the speeder a nervous Derin has got the escort of Yerssot.
"Derin, relax; there's nothing to worry about."
"What relax? This is an important speech!"
"Don't worry, the Force will guide us."

Damagran has become highly militarised lately. Derin's vehicle is flanked on all sides by armoured vehicles, their turrets covering all directions of attack. Derin fears that his main opponent, Faylar, plans to have himm killed to secure the vote in Faylar's favour.

Even Derin's own speeder is armed. A Damagran guard sits next to you both, manning the laser turret.

Still you feel uneasy, Yerssot; you can sense the approaching sweep of somethiung unpleasant in the near future... and something else also, something... elusive...

"Don't worry about a thing, I see you are well armed"
An unexpacted move of Yerssot, he automatical feels if his lightsabre is still hanging at his belt. He feelt the cold steel, he suddenly things back at Hoth, the place were it all started...
A dark moment succumbs him, he feels that something is wrong, maybe not here but elsewhere ellusive...
Yerssot becomes uneased, looking around, getting nervously.

Just a few moments too late, you see the danger that is coming.

With a tremendous noise, an explosion rips apart thr lead vehicle. There was no shot fired; that was either a mine or a bomb.

Travelling at speed there is no time to stop. Your speeder skids and slams sideways into the wreck in front. Derin, the driver and the gunman are all injured and dazed, but you leap clear of the vehicle the monet before impact.

There is another large explosion as the vehicle behind you explodes the same way as the first. Two armoured vehicles remain; one of them firing madly at nothing you can see.

Dark figures are moving all around. moving in towards Derin. One has a proton torpedo launcher that he is aiming at one of the remaining vehicles...

With a quick maneuver Yerssot grabs his sabre, he doesn't have any time to spare so he switches his sabre on using the Force.
Yerssot quickly looks around, not knowing exactly what's going on. There are different emotions running through him. But suddenly he hears the cry from help, mentaly.
He quickly runs to the speeder where he and Darin were sitting just moments ago, there isn't much of it that is usefull to anyone.
Still there is no sign of Darin. With a quick Force-jump, he jumps over the speeder and doing so, he lands between Darin and one of the mysteriously guests

The attackers are dressed in black; special forces commandos; presumably sent to kill Derin just as he feared.

His weapon is drawn, trying to get a clear shot at Derin but the sudden arrival of a lightsabre-wielding bodyguard puts him off somehwat. He tries to swing his weapon around to shoot you...

Yerssot rolls to the attacker, ready for the attack.
He stands up; looking in the eyes of the attacker.
A shot is heard; the attacker looks scared to Yerssot, he expacted that the one with the 'flashing sword' would be death by now. But it's not the case,...
The shot has been reflected by Yerssot, a dark power comes up in him, he makes himself ready to give the final blow to the attacker.

(Hey, don't be afraid to kill him; you can hardly be accused of seeking out this fight and he WILL try to kill you...)

As you strike your blow, there is another large explosion as the man with the torpedo launcher destroys one of the two remaining armoured vehicles.

Security forces are now dashing as fast as they can to the arwa. A troop of Damagran guards is apprahcing down the far side of the street.

Meanwhile, the man with the torpedo launcher is re-loading.
