Derin is out cold; the crash has left him unconscious.
Having dispatched the initial threat to Derin, a pitched battle has erupted, as the security forces trade shots with the assassins. But with one of the armoured vehicles still firing, things are looking bad for the attackers.
Yerssot, you are at first a little unsure where to go next. But then you feel a presence to your left... you turn, and you see a slim figure up on the rooftops.
It is a woman, dressed in tight black gear (physically, she looks like Trinity from The Matrix, but without the shades). She seems to be smiling at you. Her left hand reaches down into her pocket, and she pulls out a thermal detonator, which she primes...
Yerssot doesn't know what she is going to do with the termal detonator, destroying the last speeder or killing Derin.
Still the one with the torpedo-launcher is alive, Yerssot is in an internal battle,... what to do first?
Than he reminds him that the JediCouncil gave him the mission to protect Derin... with still a little doubt, he runs towards Derin, ready to defend him.
Quite frankly, Yerssot, if that detonator goes off in the street it will wipe out everyone; Derin, vehciles, yourself... and even the assassins.
The woman is obviously NOT a team player.
The assassins are covering the man with the launcher as he takes aim at the last armoured vehicle, while the woman casually drops the thermal detonator down into the street...
Yerssot is angry at himself for making such a big mistake!
He concentrates himself and let the Force guide him, he Force-pushes the detonator, but untrained as he is, he can't move the detonator fully; though he does move it, the explosion comes, the speeder blows up, dragging the bodyguard down with his destiny as a pile of junk. Yerssot trows himself towards Derin, hoping the Force will guide them through this...
The detonator sends a huge, hot shockwave down the street, vaporising the house next to which it explodes. The shockwave overturns your speeder; you hurl yourself into Derin and onto the ground. The armoured vehicle is sent skidding across the ground and comes to a halt; it is intact but the people inside are stunned.
Everyone is dazed and knocked over; many have been injured. You get to your feet, blinking heavily. The firing has stopped. Derin lies, still unconscious, beneath you.
The woman in black, who had laid down on the building to shield herself from the blast, now drops down onto the street and makes her way towards you.
Yerssot is breathing heavily, it's too much for his young life.
He can not fail this mission, he want to be a master, being a hero, sitting in the Jedi Council.
Yerssot grabs his lightsabre of the ground, ignites it, and takes a deep breath. He calmy steps towards the woman...
He thinks again at what his master told him; the Force can heal you, when you calm your mind.
At this point it's very difficult for him to calm his mind, but none-the less he tries...
"Feeling uncomfortable, Jedi...?" asks the woman. To your surprise, she draws a sabre of her own, and ignites a yellow blade. She runs in to make her first attack...
MOD NOTE: This is our first sabre fight! The first of many, with any luck.
What happens now is that the fight gets resolved in a seperate threads that I will create shortly. Meanwhile, the rest of you vontinue to play in here as normal- though feel free to check how yerssot is doing! And give him some moral encouragement, too...
The sabre fight is over! Yerssot is victorious but Krisha escapes back onto the rooftops!
Some security guards have joined you on the roof now, Yerssot. They start to chase down this mysterious assailant, but judging by what you have seen of her they will not catch her. If you want to take her again you will have to chase her yourself.
Down below, the fight seems to be over. The remaining assassins have been overpowered and have surrendered, but a lot of damage has been done.
Yerssot doesn't like to be interrupted from his meditation, so he doesn't look with a nice face towards Verlaine.
"How do I have to know that? She's a Jedi, like us, and she attacks us!"
Yerssot thinks:
Could it be? A mysterious Jedi, dressed in black? Is it a Sith? A fallen Jedi perhaps?
This is disturbing, I must contact the JediCouncil for this!
"Where can I sent a message to Coruscant?" Yerssot asks quickly?.
Verlaine looks uncomfortable.
"There has been an explosion at the generator. Services are down all over the city; off-word communication is impossible right now..."
This is a problem, Yerssot. You could always fly to a nearby system and warn Coruscant, but then the trail will have gone cold. The woman in black could kill a lot more pople here if not apprehended. And you are pretty sure that no-one else here can deal with her.
But then, how many people is she working with? If you follow her you may end up with more trouble than you can deal with.
Whatever you decide, it will have to be quick...
"Why would a Jedi attack us?" asks Verlaine. It's an irritating question, but to be honest you can understand why he asked...
"I've heard about Fallen Jedi, Jedi who failed there tests and became evil. I didn't know they exist! Don't worry, my sabre will guide us."
What to do? Yerssot thinks.
Yerssot at full strenght again, is now slowly walking around.
He decides that she can flee, let her have it.
He has a mission, a mission towards the Jedi Council and Derin.
Yerssot examins Derin, uses a little Force-heal and Derin wakes up again.
Yerssot now realises that he should be more carefully, this can't happen again!
(BTW, people, just so you know, while I allow the Force to heal to a certain extent I don't allow it quite to perform miracles. This use is fine but it won't heal deep sabre wounds!)
It is not long before Derin and Verlaine are arguing.
Derin thanks you for rescuing him, of course. But he wants to press onto the Duma and make his speech. Verlaine thinks it is too dangerous and that Derin should be taken to somewhere safe immediately.
Most of the vehicles are wrecked but the remaining armoured speeder has been made roadworthy again.
"What does the Jedi think?" asks Verlaine.
"I feel, don't think."
She's now alone, all the others are captured or death. NORMALLY she will be no match to us. Let's keep moving, the speech is important. Keep your speeder as the middle one.
The speeders leave the place, but everybody noticed that Yerssot didn't attacht his sabre to his belt again, but keeps it in his hands...
Derin, his mind ever on the job, continues to rehearse his speech as you continue to the Duma. Some hast new protection has been added from available forces.
Verlaine, still unhappy, is full of questions.
"But where would Faylar find Fallen Jedi? How much must he be paying them to act against us? Are Fallen Jedi even interested in money?"
Meanwhile, the security commander seems to be upset. He has lost contact with the men that were following the woman in black.
"We should be there within ten minutes..." says Verlaine. Derin continues to rehearse his speech. He seems to be planning to add your heroic defence to it as an example of how the Republic IS willing to help Damagran.
Verlaine is now concerned with this mad Jedi being on the loose, as he puts it. He talks with the Security Commander about bringing more forces into the area.
