"We're calling in some ships to pursue but they are nearly all busy escorting our freighters from the pirates," says Verlaine. "They will also take time to arrive."

Verlaine thinks for a moment.

"I hate to ask this of you, Jedi... but YOU have a ship. From the bearings we had, the enemy ship COULD have been heading to Jaglon Beta. That's where your Jedi friends were last seen heading towards. It's a very dangerous place; it's been completely taken over by pirates. We don;t have the forces to fight them there but I am sure someone as skilled as yourself could survive there..."

"Well, let's not stand here! We will take my ship; get some people here and we will go to Jaglon Beta. Or are you afraid perhaps?"
Yerssot is setting speed to it: he wants to get of this planet and he wants to search his friends, the other Jedi.

"Very well," says Verlaine. "I will get you clearance to leave at once. You get to your ship. I'll try to have additional forces sent your way as soon as I can."

Whitout thinking Yerssot runs to a speeder and orders the officer to get out.
He takes the speeder and 'drives' away...

Yerssot arrives at the port, he quickly jumps out and runs to his ship. An unmarked Naboo Cruiser; a reminder of his lost parents.
The Jedi enters and he starts making the preporations for the journey...

You are cleared to leave. As a world within the Damagran Confederacy, Jaglon Beta is not far and you should be there within two hours.

But you will have to go without escort; the Damagran military is oushed as it is, and now there is a Civil War brrewing the pirate problem will only grow worse.

The ship takes off with destination Jaglon Beta...
On board there is a young Jedi Knight, as soon as the ship is on auto-pilot, he jumps up and quickly runs towards the communication-unit on his ship.

"Calling the Jedi Council... calling the Jedi Council, this is Yerssot Rancume, ... this is Yerssot Rancume..."

No answer...

"Those scume! If they all have so much power here, I should ease my mind. I will go and meditate, I must be ready when the real work begins..."

The ship enters hyperspace; taking Yerssot to a bigger adventure

The problem with the comms appears to be interference. There must be a satellite somewhere jamming all stellar comms. It could take forever to find.

Yerssot calmy walks to his private chambers. When he arrives, he puts his sabre on the table and he kniels.
He closes his eyes... and goes to his spiritual world...
Yerssot relaxes; even with the ship making corrections to the flightplan...

During the journey, you pass a few convoys escorted convoys, and you notice the same thing your comrades did earlier.

Most of the large ships have blast marks from laser fire, and thr fighters escorting them are similarly worn. Yopu knew this rea had a pirate problem- it was what caused them to talk about leaving the Republic in the first place.

But it makes no sense. These convoys are worn but still heavily defended. The Damagran space fleet is lare. Pirates don't attack heavily defended targets! They would take too many losses, judging by the battles that must have been happening. If the pirates moved just one system along they would find much easier pickings.

And the cargos carried by these ships aren't unique or super-valuable. You cannot think of any reason why the pirates would attack such dangerous targets, nor how a mere Pirate clan could still be operating after taking on Damagran.

You are meditating when you drop out of hyperspace near the planet. Almost immeidately, you are awoken by your communicator coming to life.

It is space traffic control. They want to know your business here.

Calmly Yerssot walks towards the cockpit, taking his communicator with him.

"This is Yerssot Rancume; special emmissarie of Coruscant. I ask for priorety of landing. My mission is important."

He sees from the cockpit the great planet in front of him, ... he takes a deep breath...

"A ship from Coruscant?" says the voice, surprised. "State your business here!"

Hardly the response of a loyal world. Something occurs to you, yerssot; you were told the pirates pretty much ran this place... could that possibly inlcude traffic control? Are they LITERALLY in control down there?

"I've been send from Coruscant for a special mission... I'm hired to find someone on this planet who's been missing for a month... I can say WE (hence: bribe?) will be rewarded for completing this search."

Yerssot said calmly, not letting fear come in his voice...
He takes his sabre and put it on his belt, underneatch his clothes, so nobody would know the existance of it.

"WHo sent you?" asks the controller.

Meanwhile, yerssot, you are picking up some activity on yor scope, at the limit of its range.

"Wedge Kopla; a very WHEALTHY buissnessman."

Yerssot calmly sits down in his seat; preparing himself for a spacebattle...

Ypu ARE picking up energy emissions that could be laser fire, yerssot, but the traces aren't coming your way.

"You won't find your missing friend here," says the communicator. "We don;t want any visitors from Coruscant here!"

"Same here! I can't stand that scum. But they pay well! Luckily I never visited Coruscant; that's one place I don't want to go to."

Yerssot is still very calm waiting for the clearence, hoping this will be sufficient. But still he doesn't trust this OR the energy emissions...

"I don't think we want your business here!" says the controller.

Meanwhile, you try to make sense of the scope readings. You hink about six small ships; probably fighters, and one larger.

"Be sure; if I had another job I wouldn't be here annoying you. Rest assure; I only seek a place to land and find the one I'm looking for. After that I will be leaving,... any donation can be made for that..."

Yerssot is not sure what the fighters are doing... He checks his clothes, making sure nothing indicates to Coruscant or him being a Jedi...

No, your're pretty inconspicuous, yerssot. You wish you could be actually WITH this person, to get a better idea on what the problem was here. You THINK he might be frightened of something.

The traces are moving around wildly. You are pretty sure now that it is some sort of battle.

"You can be sure that I won't cause any problems... so I swear on my birth as one of Naboo..."

Yerssot just wants to land his ship and get it over with...
He doesn't trust a thing around there; but doesn't want to let the other hear that...
