USH'S GAME EPISODE I-"AVALAR" - Dark Side (Edna Witch, queeq, Captain Rex, yerssot)

Edna stands straight and strokes the man's face before adressing the room. Now they were going to think she was schizophrenic but she didn't care!

"This poor man is very sick. I think I may be able to help him but what he really needs are friends and family around him. Does anyone know if he has had any visitors lately that may be close to him. Or anyone who appeared to know him?"

It was a long shot but it may work!

"Err..." say one of the terrified controllers. "Some pirate spoke to him earlier... probably trying to get his credentials accepted or something..."

"A pirate? Not family or friend? What did he look like? I find it hard to believe that his man would associate with pirates." she said trying to sound onvincingly shcked that he would talk to a pirate.

(Edna, EVERYONE here is a pirate; they've overrun the place. ALl the important controllers work for the clan as well).

"Er... I don't remember! Just a pirate! Not in clan clothing, but some sort of mercenary!"

(oops!)

"Mercenary huh?" Of course the rough looking jedi.

"Did anyone happen to hear what he wanted with this man. I think he may have been poisoned. If this man is responsible he has to be caught before he hurts any more of our staff! Kuylen will not be pleased if there is someone going around poisoning his people and associates!" She really thinks she is pushingit now! Perhaps something to dramatic to nudge their memories. If only she could make this man look even more pathetic. She let the force flow deep through her. Control! She must stay in control! She probed inside his body trying to find his gut. Then twisted!

The man starts to convulse, nastily. You can feel the delicioius terror spreading all over you!

"I... I think he might have mentioned something about being a security man?" volunteers one of them. "He mentioned some sort of protocol. Not my business, of course... I don;t know anything else!"

COuld be tricky to find out more by asking people, Edna. The Jedi would have been stupid to let someone overhear everything he said. Unless you cxan find another means, you doubt they can tell you more.

However, you HAVE positively identified the Mercenary who sided against the Jedi as indeed being one of their number... and you have identified how they kept their presence secret, by getting a controller to alter the records after landing.

"faer not! We will find this man before he does any ore damage. If any of you happen to spot him or hear anyting else. Please do not hesitate to contact me. It is imortant we find that man! I think your friend here is evidence of that!" Edna lens down and strokes the mans face with false sentiment. "Please! Take him to medical. He will need treatment!" Edna stands up straight and marches out of the room, giving the senior officer a strong glare as she goes. As the door closes behind her a grin spreads across her face. That control felt good! it elt very good! She headed off towards where she could find Kuylen.

You can still feel the fear powering you as you leave... it's SO easy, once you get the idea!

Kuylen is, in fact, still on the main concourse, waiting for the Jedi to make their move. He watches you all the way up as you ris the cable car, and waits your report.

"The traitor is no worry to us anymore!" she says triumphantly as she walks towards Kuylen.

Kuylen raises an eyebrow.

"You have found something?" he asks, playing idley weith his braids.

For a moment, you sense his head, cold and hard, like iron. NO way in at all, like no other mind you have ever felt...

"The mercenary got to him first. He was no danger to us. Just weak. But now we know the mercenary is part of their group. He was positively identified. I scared the rest of the officers against these people a little. I thin you would be proud. They will spread the word that they are dangerous and if they spot them again I am sure they wil notify us!" Says Edna with a smile on her face.

Kuylen nods.

"Good, So long as you didn't kill any of them; that makes Pelloran demand a larger cut of the gold.

"I understand the Mercenary wants to join the clan... you know something, Edna? I think we should let him. Perhaps he should be brought up here to speak to Pelloran? What do you think?"

Are you sure that would be wise? I mean we are so close to completing our goals now. letting him in so close could be suicide!

Kuylen laughs.

"I think we should let him meet with Quam. Isolated, without his friends with him. Thinking we haven;t spotted his trick yet..."

"Could be interesting! An odd group if I may add! even more ramshackle than our own! The woman I feel is our biggest worry. The mercenary seems the confident sort but too confident. The boy will make mistakes. We can prey on those. And the other. I am still undecided on him." Edna looks up at Kuylen

"But yes I agree. I think Quam wouldhave fun playing with the mercenary. He could certainly keep him occupied!"

"*I* will deal with Master Gundark," says Kuylen. "Once their ship is destroyed, and they are isolated and friendless, they should be easy to deal with. Perhaps YOU could fight the boy, Edna..."

"Master he is young! His mind more open than the others. Do you think he may be turned?"

Kuylen smiles.

"Turned! That would be quite an achievement. Where the old ones are wise the young ones are just stubborn. And he hasn't sen enough to know the truth.,.. still, play with him if you like. But bear in mind we are playing against time her, Edna. Do not let your feelings get the better of you. Sometinmes, you just have to be coldy practical..."

"Oh I would not fight a lost cause master! If he is too stubborn I would not waste my time with him. But it would be fun and a great challenge to try and play with his mind for a bit."

"Very well," says Kuylen. "Get him on his own. Be VERY careful of his friends."
