Great thing about that, Rade, is that as a reflex attack it doesn't give a buggery for his Eyes of the Snake trick...
He'll dodge. He SO does not want to lose his blow like that.
Not his day. Rade, you rolled +5, for a 9 that beats his dodge of 8. Your foot connects with his throat, nastily, for four damage, and also counters his attack without a roll. Neat...
At least he loses an exertion, which he immediately gains back with the dodge.
You miss your next attack, Rade, and an increasingly irritable Grim attacks again.
Rade: 8/7/2
Grim: 12/9/1
Grim suddenly drops, and tries to sweep out your legs with a Sweet of the Grasshopper, for two focus.
Oooh, Rade, just put this addendum in on the Grasshopper Powers- if you try and use the same one more than once in a round it reduces your skill. Affects both of you, that...
The answer is simple- I cannot count.
Grim rolls evens. Oooh! A miss by one! Close! Grim tries to flick his foot upwards to catch you as you jump back but you JUST fly out of the way to Counter it! Grim flicks to his feet as you make your move...
Rade gains an exertion.
Ok, you do not have Lightning Reload, Burn, so reloading will take up your action AFTER your defence against being shot at. So Willow Step is fine.
Four cops firing at you, Burn... it's all good, all their shots are countered as you continue to dodge.
Then you reload I assume, yes? If so, the cops are closing the gap a little more and firing again- another three shots each.
Ooooh- that's just been improved so a good time to use it...
Ok, just to remind people, this attack is very slow so Rade misses his next attack. He would lose a point of exertion as well, but Grim is making all attacks against him slower so this does not happen. If Rade misses it was all a waste of time If he hits, he gets to attack again, and so on until he misses. Also these kicks do not get the -1 to hit.
Grim, being keen for this to NOT happen, blows two focus to activate The Fox's Retreat, to get a dodge worth 3. Grim backflips backwards away from your jumping kick attack, Rade.
Ach, unlucky. Rade rolls -1- a miss of 13 to 18 as Grim flips away, desperately. He comes to a standing postion as he flips back, to attack you again, having gained an exertion. You land in front of him, giving him twq chances to attack.
Rade: 3/7/3
Grim: 9/9/2
Ok, Grim is really going to hammer an advantage on this. He uses Strike of the Snake- three focus to make his attack VERY fast (though gaisn an exertion). This means he attacks AGAIN afterwards, giving him right now three attacks on a row.
His first strike is a solid (punch) to your chest as you land, Rade.
Grim rolls evens... 15 to your dodge of 16, a miss- you gain an exertion Rade, as you roll out of the way of his punch as you land. One more exertion and you lose an action, Rade, even at your speed!
Grim, having made a very fast attack, follws it up immediately. As you roll away from him his sequence of blows continues as you try to back away from him; a chop goes to your ribs as he (punches)...
Burn, yup, you are good at dodging at range- or more literally, avoding behing hit. But withou a named power I shall treat that as an Avoid.
Three of the guard's shots go wild as you vault over them.
But one guard rolls a +8 for a final total of 17- a Hit! Bound to happen sooner or later, Burn!
Ok, bullets hit a character! First time for this. Glock 17 has a base damage of 7. But three shots increase the damage by two for each extra shot fired- takes it to 11. And the guard hit by two points- takes it to 13.
Minus twice your strength, that is five points of damage, Burn. He clipped you! How dare he!
Guard 1: Ok
Guard 2: Ok
Guard 3: Ok
Guard 4: Ok
They have each fired 9 of 17 bullets.
Burn: 6/5/2
Your move, Burn- your gun is loaded and ready to go...
If someone Both Guns Blazes you with Desert Eagles firing three shots each that would be two lots of 13 damage (each reduces by twice your strength on just a basic hit, Fire. So, ten damage in all to you or Burn on a basic hit, plus one for every point you were hit by (BGB only counts the amount hit by once for both hits).
On the other hand, a strength 5 character does 13 damage on a simple Kick so it's not THAT drastic.
