USH'S MATRIX GAME- The Dojo

oh damn....no, i think it's quite enough. he beat me. Oh well...hope i'll have my own victories some day
"good fight" says Rade slowly getting up.

"Good fight," says Grim, nodding, offering his hand. "I just suddenly got in the 'zone', is all. Happens sometimes. Was evens up until then!"

No disgrace to lose to Grim who is a combat specialist with an unbalanced template. You will not meet many things as difficult as him in the Matrix! And you fought well.

If you want to make any download changes after that, feel free!

i might consider some defensive paths....sure. i'll think about it. loved the fight anyway...

Glad you enjoyed it! I liked the Vertical Dodge during the Vertical Kick on the only possible same surface. I really should have given that a style bonus but he still would have hit.

It's never easy to fight a more skilled opponent though that is as it should be! I am sure you can all imagine that a two point skill difference is approaching impossible to do much about, and a three point difference is the serious "do NOT go near this guy" point.

ush can me and HDM still fight here and in the mission if so I dodge his last attack

(dodge)

Yeah, you may as well! Lemme just check where you were though

HDM attacked me normal style, but he used 6 focus earlier in the round to get a +1 on MA

Ah- last two moves of the round. And he is making them fast, rather than +1 to hit.

Coeus rolls +2. Oooh! A dead on hit! As you try to slip away, Coeus JUST nicks you along the side for four damage, bringing you perilously close to being wounded... Coeus loses an exertion, Fire gains one- but that dodge might keep him in the fight as it saved him two points of damage!

Fire, your move, it may have to be a good one...

(btw, unlucky, Fire. First time you have had to dodge and could not afford The Fox's Retreat, and it is the time that it would have made the attack miss...)

I jump forward slashing at coeus his head while I'm summersaulting over him
(weapon, attack)

i'm gonna stick with my character as it is...no modiffications....
by the way....with the certain path i can jump as high as 50 meters...(i'm probably the only one)....WOW..that's a lot...they don't jump that high in the movies ( minus neo ofcourse)

alright, i (defend) the slash with my sword...

Actually, that should be less than 50 metres, Dexx, I forgot to re-calibrate those; I shall do so now.

Even so you are right, and at some later point a distinction mighr be made between jumping high and jumping far. Basically the biggest jump you can make should be like Morpheus in the jump programme- and that was pretty impressive!

Focus refreshes!

Coeus: 15/16/-1

Fire: 15/23/1

Coeus, your move...
-1 for Fire- ching! You parry his mid air stroke, spin and turn to face off ans you begin what is surely the final sequence of moves...

yes, i figured you would recalibrate it....50 meters is really quite a lot.

maybe 50 meters far but not high

It's not that it was too high (though it MAY have been, as I say), just that the multiplier I have there is for the wrong numbers- strength and speed used to go to 4 rather than 5. I forgot to lower the multiplier when I increased that potential. I shall do it now.

ok, i leap up and towards the wall, then leap off the wall and bring my sword down on Fire, while spending 3 focus with (hand of the jade emperor, weapon, +1 skill)

I dodge using fox's retreat

-4 for Coeus- just a little off timing. Countered. Still, as always, some comfort in knowing the dodge of Fire's was a waste... and you also lost an exertion whilst Fire gains one.

Fire, Coeus has left an opening, your response?

BTW, jump power multiplier now corrected- now 40 metre max with a 'standard' jump, 50 with a pole.

I do a fast jab with hand of the emperor

Ush> how many exertion points i gotta lose before i gain an extra attack? i think i should be at -3, but you might wanna check that...i know that makes me 1 exertion away from gaining, but you've got me at -1 or -2...

(defend) with my sword, if damage>4, spend 2 focus for (tail of the fox)
