At the end of M1 when Neo is being chased (after the subway).

He runs into what appears to be a dead-end.

He says on the phone "need a little help!"

then Tank replies "Door!"

this scene implies that the door was provided by the operator - this is impossible though as they cant change the matrix.

is this a major hole??

u cal this a major hole 😒 this isnt even a hole

First, about the sword - I watched the scene again, and I stand by the distance compression of a telephoto lens. I'll post scene shots within the next 24 to show.

Second, your comment about Tank. You know when you're really frantic how you can get "Tunnel Vision"? Well Neo was running fast and turned the corner expecting an alleyway, but when he saw it was a dead end he didn't think about doors or anything, just "Help!"

Also, Tank didn't just say "Door!" he said "Door! .... to your left...no your other left!" indicating that Neo never even SAW or LOOKED for a door. [/B]

with the sword i dont see how it can be at both heights - but i will rewatch with your explanation in mind.

As for the door, im not convinced but again - i will rewatch with your explanation in mind.

🙂

Here are some screen shots. And it can't be the lens, because how can he reach all the way from the top of the truck to the bottom of the truck?

Ok too lazy too read 35 pages (so this may have already been answered) if the machines wanted zion destroyed y do they not just crush the humans when they r freed (and unplugged from the machine enery getting stuff?) instead of just ignoring them

Perhaps they don't notice...

Though I guess that ain't likely...

When someone is freed their input / output signal is interrupted or whatever, to the machines that means they are dead, because they are no longer supplying power, so they dispose of the body, which then becomes liquified and fed to the remaining people in the pods, but of course if you are freed there will be a ship there to pick you up.

the second pic isnt right enough to judge

yep, ive re-watched it and it is definitly a mistake.

First the sword is high up near the top
then it is at the bottom - just above the green stripe with 'longpath' written on it.
then there is a shot of both sides of the truck and it is not at the top.
then later it is at the top so morpheus can grab it.

this is a clear hole.

Since no-ones replied im assuming you all agree that it is a hole...?

I agree.

wait mook... i'll see it today and give my view tomorrow

Yep mook's right about that, I noticed it myself when i got it on DVD.

Another point though, at the beginning of the Reloaded when the crew from the ships were being told by Niobe that 250,000 sentinels were heading to Zion, there is an Oriental man in shades standing behind the Captain of the Hammer. Was he not one of the Merovingian's henchmen in the chateau fighting Neo with a trident?

It appears they W. bros intentionally did a close shot so it is harder to see where exactly the sword goes in the truck...theoretically you could say it's impossible to see how far it actually goes down...probally what the bros. are banking on..but reasonably you can assume that one (morpheus in this case) can only reach down as far as his arm will go...soooo...yes hole in the matrix...kudos to the first person to catch it...

edit:about the man in the shadows yes he does look similar but he isn't the same guy...merv's guy as slicked back hair and has squarer...word?...rather, more square-like shades...

Not particularly an important hole but just curious....now if I'm correct, in ETM Niobe and Ghost took an old caddy to flee from the twins....I'm also assuming that they were around before Neo and the gang...Well when Trinity goes to the CTS in reloaded, isn't the old caddy still next to the CTS? I'm fairly sure its the same car.....Wouldn't it be gone?
