I think its about god god. The one that was named yahweh, the title 'God' instead of Allah or Zeus. Thats how i interpreted it anyways.

I think god is a concept made up by people to explain things that couldnt be explained.

Example - a long time ago, people didnt know how we came to exist, so they said that god created us, and told the story of adam and eve. Because of science, we know that this isnt true at all, so how do we know that the rest isnt true as well?

I think that they were confusing what they came to know as 'god' as nature.

but thats just me, im open to what others believe, its just that everyone believes different things. if they didnt life wud be pretty boring. especially in the philosophy forum.

i believe God is real ✅

even if it is Krishna, Allah, Lord, Zeus, etc etc...

and i also consider Nature as God.

thats cool. i have more belief in the greek gods, u know, one for each one or two things, like art and science. That way more believable than an all loving all seeing 'god'.

Not sure, but personally I think that among those of us who worship some kind of deity, we all worship the same thing. Like Allah, Poseidon, and the Christian God are all the same thing, but with different names.

but the different religions give 'him' different qualities, so how can we say he's the same person or thing?

its all confusings and im jus gonna stop hurting my head and say its stupid and he doesnt exist.

if we all believed in the same God we wouldn't be having all the stupid problems in society.

i dont understand...

Of course we all think we worship different things, and most of us also believe that our religion is the true one, otherwise we probably wouldn't be following it. But what I'm saying is that if there IS a supernatural power of some kind, it's the same thing for everybody... Obviously all religions give God different qualities, but most of what we think about God is constructed in our own minds anyways. True or not, some human has think of it in the first place, even if they believe God told them these things about him/her/itself.

I c.

God is God, but since there wasn't that option i chose the almighty

I think that all religions are branches of one Almighty God. I think that my Christian God is the almighty, but "God" is the power that created everything. God has nothing to do with the Sciences or any technical ideas. God is there to watch over everything.

What is God? I truly philosopherical question indeed.

I think the true question that should be asked is, What is God to you?

Everyone has a different prespective on who the Almighy is. Wars have been fought over if He exists or not. And people have died to discover the one true deity. According to religion today, God is a spiritual entity who rules Heaven. Most mentioned as a male, God knows all and sees all. God intervenes when He wants too and observes His flock. Most believe in a higher being, some don't.

I do.

we all have our own perspectives on this question.

What is God?
the opposite of DOG,.........................or at least according to the atheist dyslectic there is no DOG

If you think about it, DOG vs GOD is a good philosophical debate.

God is said to be our companion, dogs live with us in a short time span but they too are are companions. God is enlightenment. A dog brings happiness to our lives. God treats us as one of his children. We treat dogs as one of our children. So in true reality, is there a role reversial in the infinity of God? Is it mere coincidence that Dog spelled backwards spells God?

lol, v philosophical.

i cant make up my mind if im being sarcastic or not!!

Evil little philosophers.... *mutters to self*

Which "God" are we talking about?

Pick one.

Hmmm... Zeus? Jupiter? Odin? Thor? Allah? Vishnu? Shiva? Freja?...
Jahve (The Jewish/Christian god)? Mars? Ares? Aphrodite? Hera?
.. Not to mentio na pantheon of Aztec gods Mayan Gods and other... gods....

yeh, erm, whichever you believe in personally 🙂
