He rejects Christianity (supposedly), but that doesn't mean he worships Satan. I also reject a lot of Christianity, but that doesn't make me a Satanist. But he is the leader of the church of Satan and that speaks for itself, I think he does it for publisity.
Satanism can also be viewed as rebellion towards the Christian Church. Whether modern Christians are more tolerant towards other religions, and stopped burning other people, the fact remains that the Christian Church has committed all kinds of evil deeds and a whole lot more hypocrisy.
So – to young people, whose parents fall into the “too-save” and “too-holier-than-though” category, where they believe that having a Bible equals being right, choosing Satanism as a rebellion is pretty easy.
So anyone who claims, that just because Mr. Manson is a priest of some kind of Satanist church, he is thereby EVIL – is missing the point by lightyears.
Manson an idiot? He makes the most money, so he's probably laughing all the way to the bank at that statement...

Yes, I agree, I've always considered Satanism to be just what it sounds like--worshipping the devil. Funny thing is, a lot of members of the "Church of Satan" don't believe there IS a devil, or a god for that matter. You could also look at the Christian definition of Satanism, which is basicly any religion (and atheism as well) other than Christianity and Judaism. Seems pretty damn ridiculous to me.

im not sure what the christian chruch's defintion on stanism is, but i can tell you its not just any other religion. christians in general (there are some other religion that call themselves christian that dont so this) are called to respect the other religions, though they are different. (and i know some person was saying how the christian church murdered/tortured people of other religions, but as of today, christians are supposed to veiw other relegions with respect) again, i dont know the chriction definition of satanism, and what the christian chruch says about it.

Well, it CAN be, but it strikes me as highly inaccurate to do so. In that case, it's just a name, and not actually worship of the concept of Satan at all.
Satan is a term for evil; you cannot truly worship evil and expect that to be ok, rather by definition. So what we are basically getting at here is that these people lie about what they worship in an attempt to show contempt for Christianity- how spectacularly juvenile.
this is confusing stuff... i got:
Plausibility Quotient = 0.9
The metaphysical engineers have determined that your conception of God has a plausibility quotient (PQ) of 0.9. A PQ of 1.0 means that as far as the metaphysical engineers can determine your conception of God is internally consistent and consistent with the universe that we live in. A PQ of 0.0 means that it is neither internally consistent nor consistent with our universe. More than likely, your PQ score will be somewhere between these two figures. But remember that this is your PQ score as determined by the metaphysical engineers. The editors of TPM have no control over their deliberations, so don't blame us!
The metaphysical engineers request clarification of what you mean when you say God exists eternally.
You may mean that God exists through all space and time. But according to our best physics, space and time exist only within the confines of a universe. This would seem to constrain God's existence to within a universe.
You could mean that God exists "outside" space and time. But the metaphysical engineers find it hard to understand what you mean by "eternally", if that's the case. Doesn't the concept "eternally" require some notion of time to make sense? The metaphysical engineers are still puzzling over these issues.
😑 i need to think about this for about an hour now.
Excuse me.
