A Britney Spears fan site is apologizing for posting photos of her baby that turned out to be stolen.
The word "SORRY" is printed in one-inch tall letters is on top of the www.tangiblebrit.com homepage.
The site, which was the first to post the photos, has since withdrawn them. A message on the Web site says: "To Britney, Kevin, Sean, Jive Records, SonyBMG and anyone else I have affected by this, I am deeply sorry for any pain I have caused you," said a man only identified as Matt.
Matt said in the statement that he did not know the photos were stolen. He said he received them in an e-mail stating that the photos would be featured in People magazine's next issue.
The photos have been destroyed, Matt said.
Spears is threatening legal action against those who post pictures of her newborn on the Internet.
At least two Web sites showed photos of Spears embracing her child, as well as a family portrait.
A statement released by Spears' record label, Jive Records, said the photos were stolen from a private photo session.
A representative for Spears declined to comment.

What's the big deal about not releasing the photos of the kid? Is he a mutant or something?

Also, I'm sure thousands downloaded the photos so they should resurface. If we'd had that web address sooner (hint, hint) we could've done that, too.

The big deal is that it is theft. Nobody has any right to post pictures of that baby without it's parent's permission. It's an invasion of privacy and human rights. Britney's the celebrity, not her children.
It's no different than what the Beckhams have done to protect their children.

When K-Fed played the music for his wife, it was greeted with hurtful laughter from his superstar wife, who was unimpressed, according to an insider. "She said his debut CD might sell 'a hundred, maybe a thousand' copies if he was lucky," the source said. "Kevin looked really hurt." The news comes in wake of Spears growing tired of Federline's behavior since the birth of Sean Preston.
