Bombastic Love

Alright, I did Britney a favour and looked up the meaning of bombastic for her:
BOMBASTIC
adj : ostentatiously lofty in style; "a man given to large talk"; "tumid political prose" [syn: declamatory, large, orotund, tumid, turgid]

Now that that's all clear, let's get to the music. This is a decent dance tune, but she claims she doesn't "know why she seems so insecure." I have one question to this: Who was Britney dating during this era? This is important info to know so I can gauge the songs better. Or maybe not, because I figured she'd feel insecure about her bombasticalaticalashamalamadingdong love no matter what guy was stealing her ATM number.

Ok, on to Bombastic Love. Thank you very much for looking up the definition; I will confess that that did not occur to me. I figured Bombastic may just be some irritating take on Fantastic, but there you go.
Interestingly enough, this is the only song off the album that Britters herself didn't like. She was apparently not happy that it was put on the album in the first place, but told the Press that she was mildly calmed by the fact that it wouldn't be released as a single.
Personally, I quite like it. As you say, it's got quite a nice little beat to it, and it's a good sing along song. I just wish it wasn't called Bombastic Love.

P.S: She was dating Justin but split with him during this era. His favourite song off the album was apparently I'm Not A Girl.

The term "overprotected" might refer to her relationship with her agent, or it might be a group feeling to describe the dancers in the video. If they all feel like they haven't been "exposed" to the world, it's good they're getting this off their chests.

The song itself is a digitized tongue-twister, and it takes a '80's music-ish break before it spills into the mouthful of confessing, "I don't need nobody telling me what I'm gonna / wha-wha-wha-what-wh-a-w-a-wha-what-wwwwww-wwhat-wwha-what-hw wha-asdl;hjasdlg-what-wha-what-wh-wha / wut Im gonna do abowt my destiny."

After you make it through that, you had better raise that roof above her head (to protect yourself from the reverberations from the repeated syllables of the word "what).
