Girl In My Mirror
This melody sounds less like a professional song and more like the inside of one of those musical greeting cards.
If there is a message that's trying to be sent in this song, it's that someone obviously has issues dealing with problems directly and in the first-person sense, and therefore has to channel her spirits through a reflection to try to place the blame on someone else. Bottom line: If you can't handle your own problems, how do you think your reflection is going to respond?
"The Girl in My Mirror / Is crying tonight / And there's nothing I could tell her to make her feel alright / The Girl in the Mirror is crying 'cause of you / And I wish there was something I could do"
Great news, Britney! There is something you can do! Take a hammer in your left hand and reach forward until you hear a bunch of glass breaking.

One Kiss From You
You know, sometimes I wish females would make up their bloody minds! One minute everything's peachy and:
"I see the road layed out in front of me / You give me strength / You give me hope / And when you hold me in your arms you make me whole / And I don't know just what I would be without one kiss from you"
And the next minute they're sobbing at some freak in a mirror!
Song review...let's see...this song sounds like it could be a #12 (or later) track on the CD...not much star potential on this one. Sounds very Amy Grant-ish, but it's not necessarily a bad thing. Now if Justin (song is kind of old) could just keep providing her with that one kiss each day, we may never have to worry about every seeing a crabby Britters again!

Okay (wipes tears from eyes)
Girl In My Mirror. What the hell is that all about? I thought it was passable, until you get to the really hammed up bit when Britney apparently realises that the girl is her. Shock Horror! Anyway, I'm disgusted that you rated that piece of childish babble higher than the Joy Of Pepsi............... 😉
One Kiss From You was actually #8 on the album. Girl In My Mirror was #12. And us females can make up our minds, the idea behind the album was to have songs that you could relate to whatever mood you're in.
One Kiss From You is another song that I did really like in it's day, but it went by the wayside when I kind of outgrew it. It's not bad tho.
Heart
After all the noise and explosions of the first couple of tracks (Stronger, Oops), I am quite surprised to see how lazy the Spears clan has gotten. I do, however, think I heard an electric violin chiming in right after Britney drolls, "Right now it's our turn."
She appears very bored with this song (and amazingly, so was I!), and I'm not seeing much effort to make this song a success. Unless Heart is a tribute to the great band of the '70's, I'm not buying her sincerity as much as I'm buying the fact that she had extra CD space available at the end of the CD, and getting rid of "The Joy of Pepsi" was not an option due to contractual agreements 😛.

Don't Go Knockin' On My Door
This might possibly being the hardest song in the history of music to dance to. Sudden, jerky beats make it hard to shake it on the dance floor unless you are very inept at keeping your rump in one place for an extended period of time.
And this is the first song that you've reviewed before me, so let me examine your review. You claim it to be a power song, and I agree that it holds more power than creampuffs like "Heart" and "Dear Diary." But you also said its popularity with you faded fast, for which I can also rationalize. For that, combined with a great effort at keeping untalented dancers off the dance floor and in their seats where they belong, I'm right down the middle of Britney's door on this one.

Walk On By
This is a song that would definately smash any Pepsi Joy bologna to smithereens. Now I see that this song is listed right with "The Joy of Pepsi," so tell me, is "Walk On By" from a commercial, too? If so, I may have to re-think the ratings here...depending if I like the product or not 😛.
This is the definition of a harmless song, folks. It doesn't get under your skin and you feel like you're at Disney World. If that doesn't make any sense, please Walk yourself On By, and get out of my way while you're at it.
*Self-made disclaimer: My sample is only 31 seconds long. If the 3 minutes that aren't on the sample suck, I will not be held responsible *

Well, if that remains your highest rated song for this era, you'll get the full copy uploaded along with Born To Make You Happy.
Walk On By - seriously?
No, it wasn't a commercial, but it was an unreleased track. You're right in the respect that it is a harmless track, I don't have any strong feelings about it. It's a happy track! 😱

The song made me all tingly inside. I was doing cartwheels after I heard it. No, seriously, I think it was the best one I've heard from that era, but still behind BTMYH overall.
Also, Stronger has made a Strong climb since its first introduction. Namely because I can still recall the melody in my mind, and that's unusual for these songs. I wouldn't quite give the trophy to Walk On By just yet...we shall see.
She can sing a lot better than me, so good luck to her!
Okay, by my reckoning, we have the following to get through;
What U See (Is What You Get)
Lucky
Where Are You Now?
When Your Eyes Say It
You Got It All
I've Got The Urge (To Herbal)

So far you are NOT liking this era!
