Touch Of My Hand
I'm glad Britney has decided to venture away from the mainstream teeny-bopper and hooked up with whomever is providing these rhythms that ATB or Orbital rejected. One question though: Does there have to be the same bass beat in every damn song?!?!?!?! Can't we at least get one with a bass guitar and drum (and that's it!) for once?? I don't ask very much in this world, but strangely enough that is my request.
Regardless, let's check out these lyrics...
WHOA! Looking further, we find out that Britney deals with "Another day without a lover" with her "Imagination's taking over," so that leads us to: "The more I come to understand...The touch of my hand"

I always loved Britney's reference to this song in her In The Zone DVD:
"'Touch Of My Hand' is about indulging in yourself....in a very provocative way. I wanted to talk about it at the time"
First of all, hats off to Britney for IMO an extremely brave choice in song. With this album, she really wanted to steer away from the manufactured pop-product and allow the world to see her for what she really is. A human being before a Celebrity.
As for the song itself; I like it. I remember laughing my head off when I first realised what she was singing about!
Parents of the younger fanbase were outraged when during Britney's Onyx Hotel Tour, she performed this song wearing a skin colour bodysuit, writhing around in a glass bath. They said that the Concert should have come with a warning. LOL!!!! Get a life guys!
I do agree with you on the beat though. I do like this album, but I found that after a while, the majority of the songs seemed to blend together.
Well, there's only two songs left to review;
Showdown
The Hook Up
After that, we move onto the Greatest Hits era. There's only three songs to review there so that won't take long.
Showdown

This duel between Britney and video game music clearly has neither coming away a winner. The song is monotonous and sounds like a "filler" for the CD. Maybe they had some extra disc space to kill or a quota that hadn't been unfilled.
Either way, "Showdown" deserved a spot on the CD by much more than than "Early Mornin'," "Outrageous," and that crap witih the Ding Dong twins.

The Hook Up
In order to officially "hook up" - Britney style - one must do the following:
Back it up
Bump your rump
Grab my Waist
Work it out
Grab my shoulder
Pick it up
Take it lower to the floor
I do each item daily, and it leaves me feeling refreshed and like I just had a hot and sweaty dance marathon with Miss Spears herself. Unfortunately, my knees and joints don't move awkward enough to accommodate the tribal beat that the synthesizer has presented us to get an adequate hookup.
I truly saved the most "I really don't have anything positive or negative or say about this song" one for last!

Whoa, that's hard to believe (should I tell my friends this?) bag!
Okay, okay, it was definately the best out of the four, with "Britney" being a distant second. But "In The Zone" did have 3 really putrid tracks though, and that kind of sucked. Still, all the albums did..."Boys" from "Britney" is a prime example.
HAHAHAHA!!! Ok, on to the next era

What are we going to do after the reviews end? cry
I feel like the movie "Misery," where Kathy Bates contemplates James Caan's legs healing and him "wanting" to leave. Don't worry, I won't hobble you! If you haven't seen the movie or read the book, never mind!
Are you kidding? I LOVED that film. And the book. I'm a big Stephen King fan. That bit when she breaks his angles is plain nasty! Makes me cringe everytime.
😱
🙁 Reviews are most certainly coming to an end. We have these three, then there are 7 songs to review in what we shall call The Original Doll era. These are besically all of the songs that either leaked onto the Internet last year, or were officially released on products such as Brit's fifth album (B In The Mix) or on the bonus CD that came with Chaotic. Either way, if Brit hadn't have fell pregnant with Sean last year, she would have been releasing her fifth album; rumoured to be titled The Original Doll. However, as we all know, she went off on maternity leave and B In The Mix was released to honour her contract with Jive.
After the reviews are finished, I have the job of working out which era was the best by summing up both of our reviews. I then have to list all the reviews again and post final scores. Then we can discuss why you like some songs better than me!!!!
