Here is my humble opinion :
I noticed that Batman fans always use a lot of “ifs” when discussing a fight between Batman and Spider-man (or against Batman and any other guy). It comes down to something like this:
“If Batman knows his opponent, and if his opponent wouldn’t know a thing from Batman, and if Batman knows the weaknesses of his opponent, and if Batman knew his opponent was coming for him, and if Batman had a few weeks time to develop some kind of trap, and if the opponent would be dumb enough to walk into the trap, and if this trap worked correctly, well hey, what do you know, then Batman might be able to actually beat him.”
For some reason, I’m not THAT impressed.
Being a Spider-man fan, I don’t have to use the if-word that much. Fact is that Spider-man is one of the fastest heroes in the Marvel-universe, and that Batman just can’t avoid being hit by him. Very few people can, only the fastest can avoid some of his punches. Batman certainly isn’t one of the fastest. Yeah, I know he is very fast, but compared to lots of superheros, he is a snail. Spidey is just too quick and too agile for him. And do I really have to spell it out what happens when Spider-mans hits Batman with full strength?
By the way, although I am a Spider-man fan, I am being objective. If it was let’s say Spider-man against Lobo, Spider-man would go down rather fast. Or Spider-man against Superman. But he wouldn’t lose easily from Batman. Don’t forget that Spider-man is way tougher than Batman (he can take lots of hits which would kill Batman) and that he can avoid anything that Batman uses thanks to his almighty spidersense.
But of course, if Batman knew about his spidersense…
I rest my case. See you in court !
