No offense taken.Just thought I'd explain for those who thought Ali(as great as he is) a human could knock down a full powered man o' steel. It would seem absurd to someone glancing at the post and not knowing why. 😎

I'd say it's be pretty even. It's hard to call cos like I said time and time again, Batman and Spiderman are my favourite superheroes of all time.

He can dodge bullets at a distnace, but seeing as his opponent is at point-blank his spider sense would warn him waaaaaay before Batman even got his arm up. Spiderman would have easily gotten behind Batman and break his neck like a twig. However, Batman isn't stupid enough to take on Spiderman at close range.

I think it would be a very long ranged fight. It could go either way if they got near each other. Batman has KO gases and toxins and all martial arts types, Spiderman has his webs and uber strength and agility. They'd constantly be playing mind games with each other, setting traps, making dummy runs etc, its the only way they could defeat each other.

Man it's tough. It's a 50/50 fair fight IMO.

Spider-Man is over twenty times stronger than Batman. Imagine a child trying to wrestle a grown man. That child could have studied martial arts since birth, but that still would not help. Spider-Man would web-up Batman's feet to the floor and use him like a punching bag. You know those balloons with the weighed down rounded bottoms. You punch it and it falls to the ground, only to come back up ready for another punch. Yeah, that's what it would be like... but, Batman would not be bouncing back after the first punch.

And what do you think, that Spider-Man will be so polite to wait so Batman can have a straight aim ? Spidey isn't a sitting duck, you know. Ever heard of spider-sense ? Spider-man has avoided more bullets with great ease than Batman has thrown batarangs.

I would say 80/20 for Spider-Man because anything Batman can, Spider-Man can do better and faster. Martial abilities won't help much against Spider-Man, maybe Batman could hit Spidey a few times, but it won't hurt him a lot. Spider-Man only has to hit Batman once, and the fight is over. That's a fact.

Mind you, I don't underestimate Batman, I know him pretty well and I realize he's capable of fighting the great guys. But without his famous prep-time, he's no match. His weapons are great against human opponents, but they will only annoy Spider-Man, maybe slow him down a bit, confuse him somewhat, but nothing more. Even a slowed Spider-man remains faster and stronger than Batman.

But all of this discussion is in fact useless, because it all depends on the writer, and in some extent, to the story. It isn't so hard to come up with a fight-scenario where Batman rules big time. But it will be hard for me to believe it, because on paper, Spider-Man has the best cards. He has four of a kind, Batman only two pairs.

But Batman is a great bluffer 🙂

Anybody who knows both Spiderman and Batman knows that Spiderman can dodge bullets (you say he gets shot by cops, "cops" is a plural, plus I bet Spiderman would have been trying to escape - if he wanted them dead, he could have killed them, but Spiderman was just trying to escape. Put Batman up against a load of cops - he'll be dead too, so your arguement doesn't count) and Batman doesn't EVER use guns (pay no attention to the movie - its obvious you know nothing of the comics).

This is pathetic. And childish.

But back to the fight: the future-version of Spider-Man is in fact lots older than the "real" Spidey. Somebody says it in the actual comic: "Your reflexes aren't what they used to be." So he aged and got slower a bit, and eventually, he got shot. I have no problem with that. (I'm pretty sure he could have won if he fought it the same way they fought : to the death).

And I wouldn't rely too much on a alternate/futuristic/possible Spider-Man scenario to prove your points.

If that's the best you can do, just return to your social life, will you?

Actually, it doesn't take that much thought to know that Spiderman won't get shot by a bullet and Batman wouldn't use a gun. These forums are great for picking up FACTS about comic books that you didn't even know about.

As far as reading comics go, I haven't read a comic book in a while, but at least I know A LOT about Spiderman and Batman. I used to read those comics religiously when I was a kid. Wow, imagine that, a KID reading a comic book!

For the record, isn't a social life supposed to help you be more sociable? It's a simple rule of thumb really. A good, healthy social life should in fact turn you into an upstanding, polite, friendly and intelliigent citizen - which you clearly aren't.
