I'm more of an alternative girl. I'm here because some guys gang up on sex pistol. Just because she wasn't in the actual era does not mean she doesn't know what she's talking about. lots of people like ABBA, but they never lived in that era either, so those guys can just piss off. Cunts.

Actually, the reason that a lot of people gang up on sex pistol is because she leaves herself susceptible to harsh criticism with most of the crap she posts. Her opinion of her music is fine, but when she goes around spouting off crap and yelling at anyone who doesn't agree with her is when she gets "ganged up on". To say that someone doesn't know what they're talking about just because they weren't in the era is ridiculous, and noone was saying that about her. Shit, most of the people that replied to this thread probably weren't around for that particular era.

i guess i should have posted examples, some oi bands include agnostic front, the business, the casualties. and for you boneheads/nazi skinheads there's skrewdriver and the infamous RaHoWa (racial holy war) who's lead singer married an indian chick and is now all for diversity.

I anyone into how punk started. The velvet underground was the first"Noise" band, that opened the door for punk. Iggy and the stooges also played a large role. If you guys also like to read, the's a cool book calle "Please Kill Me", It's about the earliest days of punk. Its cool as hell.

I've read it. Yes, punk started (technically) with The Velvet Underground and New York Dolls.

I didn't know The Business and The Casualties were Oi. I like both of them, as well as Agnostic Front.
