(well, I gotta go, it's starting to get late over here and I've got school in the morning...so I'll be back when I can ^^; these next two weeks are going to be immensely busy for me because next week is the last week of school before Christmas break, so all my teachers decided that we're going to have tests and projects and papers all over the next two weeks ._. not gonna be fun. But I'll still try and get on here as much as I can!)
Heph performs Swipe of the Bamboo again, lashing out at two cudgel wielders.
As another coppertop wielding a butterfly sword approaches from behind him, and spins around and uses a Hands Without Shadow modified blow to the kneecap with his staff.
He then runs up the wall (Vertical Dodge) and lets all attacks and swords smack against the wall.
I have been miscounting actions... silly me! We are currently on the Fourth.
Ok, Ares, here is what happens with you. DO remember that as you are a Coppertop Killer Master, your attacks on Mundanes only gain you an exertion, they don;t take an action! Though yoiu can only do two such Very Fast things per action, in addition to yuor normal action.
So far this combat you had only made one attack on a Mundane, so you had not taken an action at all! That was four bursts, and you gained an exertion and did not take an action.
Then you fire a burst at a shotgunner. Oh no! You actually roll -8, Ares! This doesn't happen much but it is a miss!
Then, with your actual first action, you fire another burst at him! +1, that is better. Your Coppertop Killer takes that to 18... that'll teach him! He is blown totally away...
So, that is your first banked action used up!
For your second, you first of all fire a burst at the other guy at the stairs. You roll +2, and blow him away as well!
Then, for your actual action, you move across to the east side tables area.
That means you still have a banked action left over, plus another one for this round just gone, and you can take some more Very Fast actions on those. Ok, you are now on 4 exertion, but do you see how damn fast Coppertop Killer makes you when firing at Mundanes now? Heh...
Rade, closest cover, unless you think of some gneatly improvised idea, is those tables, one of which Castor just moved behind. You move back there as well and reload, gaining an exertion.
Feeling a little lonely out there, Coeus?
Ok, bad guy firing back time! The shotgunners and uzi guys at the stairs are all gone, which is good. But the nine gunners at the west side are still active and the people at the bar are not in cover from them! Luckily, some of them are runnin low on ammo. Three attacks each on San, Celsius and Burn, two of them are two burst attacks, one of them is a four burst attack.
Oh no, San... a +9 on you is a definite hit! Another seven damage, pure bad luck that one!
All good so far, Celsius; they miss...
But Burn, this is particularly annoying, as you are clipped twice for seven damage.
Ok, you seriously need to do something about those west side shooters! two thirds of them are re-loading this action, though.
The three east of bar shooters all fire at Fire. Almost karmcially, Fire, the one you just failed to kill hits you, for 9 damage with a good shot!
That leaves 13 goons firing at four of you. Coeus, up close with them, gets 4 attacks, Rade, Castor and Ares get 3. Castor and Rade are in two points of cover, though. And some of them are inf act reloading, so there are less attacks.
Coeus is in luck! They all miss as he frantically drops low up close...
Ares, moving stoically over, is fine as well
Ah, now, here is where it pays off... Ares and Castor both WOULD have been hit... but their cover saves them! Bullets plow through the wood of the tables but they could not quite pick out where you were...
-
Meanwhile, upstairs... whilst Cloud retrieves his sword from his fallen foe, Mors and Heph carry on their fight.
Mors, if you do not mind- and I am sure you will not- I will be converting your Roaring Blade Strike into just a normal attack- RBS counters armour, of which your target has none! Hook sword guy twirls his swords around and lock them together for a parry (dodge). You roll evens, as with a quickly flick of your sword you cast his guard aside and stab inwards! That gives you 15 when you needed 11, +1 for the sword and another +1 for high damage gives you 17, just enough for a kill! You run him straight through.
Heph, two cudgel wielders would be yours and one fighting someone else! I'll allow that; you can hit one of Mors'. You spin your staff around and on the leftwards rise you strike at one foe, on the rightwards descent at another... oh, spear/staff fighting was MADE for this kind of situation...
Darn, though, not your best co-ordination. As your targets dodge, you roll -1 for a total of 14. That makes it a hit on both for 2. Both your blows hit and they stagger back, but they stay up!
Ok, then the bad guys strike back... four attacks on each of you! Mors and Cloud, you twirl your swords and Heph, you spin your staff to parry the relentless attacks! Four attacks on each of you.
Mors, one would hit you, but this is the one you King on the Water. That is actually rather overkill on a Mundane. His attack automatically misses as your years of Veteran experience allow you to see his moves coming; you lean left and right and back and laugh as his ineffectual blows sail past you. That does cost you your next action though!
Less lucky on the Machete guy though. That bastard has hit you again, Mors! Four damage this time.
Cloud, the machete guy swings in, and you raise your sword to block it exactly in the middle. You twirl as the sai guy stabs, you pivot and twirl your sword to block both attacks at once. The chain person swings in at your shoulder and you drop your guard behind your back to block that, before spinning around to block a hook sword just as the other slips past your guard and scratches your front for 5 damage. Darn it!
Heph, you take no chances and immediately dash up the nearest wall (maybe using your staff as a prop to give you the lift to do that...) as your guys attack. Frankly, that doesn't give them much chance, and they all miss as you sail over them!
Ok, then you guys act again...
Mors, this is the action you lose for using King on the Water.
Heph, when you land, you drop and hands without shadow on that hook sword bastard! You roll +2 and he cannot dodge, making the total 17 to 9. There is a sickening crunch as you shatter his kneecap, and he falls back screaming, Out.
Cloud, your Roar of the Emperor is on the guy to your 'left' That's the cudgel guy; he died already so that is -2 to hit on a random target probably best to specify the weapon in future. You roll +1 as the chain guy dodges, making your total 13 to his 12. Then that goes to 16 for a hit with a sword, and another +1 for high damage (made possible by your Roar), makes him Hit for 3; that cuts him badly but he fights on...
Then they all strike at you again! Heph! You are hit with a damn fine spinning blow from the chain guy for 6 damage! You can Shielded that if you want, though...
Howeverm, the upstairs guys are still an action behind! You made up your lost actions, but not the one for this round as well!
PHEW! Fnally done! Here is the update. Last action of the round!

-----
Ok, let's see about doing actions left over...
Celsius, you are out of stairway foes so you might want to target, say, the guys to the west...
Mors, you turn and make a lightning fast Hand of the Emperor jab... you roll +2. Nice! another target run though, and you lose an exertion!
San, likewise, your banked action is no good as there are no bad guys at the stairs at this time.
Castor, I need a better idea of how many bullets you are firing or the attack is invalid.
Coeus, the wounded ones were all killed, so you strike at a healthy one. Because you didn't know that would happen, also because you most likely did not appreciate this was the last action and you have tons of focus left, I'll make that a Hand of the Jade Emperor strike for you. You roll evens for a total of 16, and cut your man down, losing an exertion.
NEXT TIME I YELL COVER ME I'D LIKE SOMEONE TO ACTUALY ****ING COVER (AS IN SHOOT THE HELL OUT OF EVERYONE I CAN'T ATTACK)ME
SO RADE -DEXX YOU NORMALY LISTEN- COVER ME
I slash at the guy that just hit me modifying the attack with hands without shadows to make sure he can't hit me
defence is still willow step or turtle shell if only one person attacks me
I'll see what I can do to make this go a bit better.
SO LISTEN THE HELL UP EVERYONE:
Ares: shoot at the west table kill as many as you can!
Castor: shoot at the west table kill as many as you can!
Rade: Cover my ass shoot those 2 Undamaged Goons!
Celsius you might want to give San some instructions
but I'd like it if you both shoot at that west table
WE NEED TO CLEAR THAT ROOM BEFORE THOSE GOONS FROM OUTSIDE ENTER
