Close enough...he has Detective intuition. That pretty much tells him that Wolvie is dangerous. Is almost certain that Batman would not take Wolvie on first encounter. As I mention before Batman would observe and study Wolvies moves. And since Batman is a quick thinker and a smart man he would spot Wolvies weak points in seconds.

That's why Batman lurks in the shadows and in the roof tops (which is very hard to detect). For a human being he is very well skill in stealth. Of course Wolvie could sniff him out with his animal insticts. But Batman moves fast....he will always be one step ahead of Wolverine.

I'm surprised this hasn't been done, yet.
Anyway... I think this match would be a pretty cool fight to watch. Wolverine has an advantage of his healing factor an adamantium, not to mention his mutant strength.
However, Batman has his superior technology, and has also taken his normal human body as far as it can physically go. He's also mastered every form of martial arts known to man, and a few that aren't.
Although, Wolverine's memories were all entirely replaced with tactics and fighting abilities, techniques, and the like...
So, who would win? The mutant, or the knight?

Isn't wolverine currently suffering from amnesia. Last I check if you some has amnesia they cannot remember stuff. Hence this is why I think batman's fighting ability combined with his martial arts will always surpass wolverines.
Now wolverine has a lot of experience but this does not make him the better martial artist. Batman is one of best martial artist and fighter in DCU. Vandal savage is an immortal with years and years and years of experience in fighting. Vanadal savage is older than wolverine and he can not hold a light to the batman.

a lot of batman fans, well, as for the fight, batman is a good fighter but he cannot win against wolverine, and yes wolverine is a better fighter than wolverine, as i recall, he learnt most of his martial art skills after he received his adamantium bonding process done to his bones on a molecular level. he learnt his skills form a master jujitsu, and swordsman called Ogun. wolverine is better in fighting but batman is very close, batman is a master in various forms of martial art while wolverine is a master in ALL forms of martial arts. another reason wolverine would will is his accelerated healing factor and razor-sharp adamantium claws and skeleton, batman's advantage is that he is a master detective and a lot smarter than wolverine, but that would be in effective in fighting because wolverine is fast and would not give batman time to even think of what to do, basically, batman would be fighting for his life, not to win, wolverine on the other hand, is fighting to win and always win because he is the best at what he does.
When did wolverine become a master of ALL martial arts? thatd take thousands of years man. Wolverine is a master of a few martial arts, batman is a master of 127 (its just as bad as ALL but its listed as this, wolverine is only shown to know a few h2h)
Batman is smarter than wolverine, but in the physical department wolvie has it down, if this is a fight in close quarters it goes to wolvie.
If it has anywhere to hide it goes to Batman.
