without powers he's nothing my ass. Wolvies one of the best hand to hand fighters in the MU bar none. The guy schooled shang chi. That's like saying without batmans gadets and prep time he's nothing.......you're completely disregarding his fighting ability which, if you've ever looked at any comics, or stats for that matter, state wolverine as having some of the best.
Are we talking Wolvie prior to Weapon X or after he got his adimantium skeleton? Because before he obtain his claws he was trained in basic combat skills. When he studied shang chi he had his mutant powers. That means a huge difference if he were to lose his mutant powers during combat. Because most of his training happen while being a mutant. So would that affect him? Possibly. Whereas Batman he is pure 100% beef NO chemical alterations (Except the Venom super-steroid which he drop after addiction problem). Wovie is a tough opponent and Batman would spot this in less than a second. So defenetly Batman would not go for physical combat. He would rely more on strategy rather than brute force.
on a firsrt chance encounter it's unlikely. Batman usually suffers pretty badly from one on one confrontations when he is not aloted his prep time. You keep trying to say without his powers, wolverine's nothing,,,that either means you have a huge bias for batman (as your sig would lead me to beleive, or you don't know that much about wolverine. or both) either way, taking away wolverine's powers is like taking away both batman's intelligence and utility belt/gadgets etc.....but I have no idea what led you to believe that either of these guys shouldn't have the gifts they've been given here, thats like saying without the transformation into the big green goliath, hulk's nothing. it doesn't make sense. And my refference to shang chi is a simple one to understand. shang chi commented on wolverine's emmense amount of skill, despite his animal nature it didn't affect his fighting ability whatsoever.
That's what I had in mind. I don't know why people keep thinking that the first thing Batman would do is just attack Wolvie at first sight. Batman is way to smart for that. He would watch his moves, analyze his animal instincts, observe his behavior and then prepare a full proof plan to attack wolvie. Yes, Wolvie does have incredible strength and great fighting skills, but agains't Batman's ideas and intellegience, Wolvie has no chance. He might be a great fighter and all that stuff, but agains't Batman's mind is a whole different battle.

He's got some muscles, that's all. I don't know why Batman would try to "brain his opponent to death using strategy" and "analyze every move". He probably would try to fight him like he fights an average street punk, and fight him right away.
"brain his opponent to death"
hahahahhaha!
yeah these battles unless otherwise stated are a chance occurance. Like I said before if batman had even 5 minutes prep time before he went in, yeah this would be a totally differend fight, but if both of them are just dropped on the spot into a big empty space, wolverine is gonna dice himself up some batcabob.

I don't know why Batman wouldn't just attack him. It's not like Wolverine is the most dangerous looking guy walking the planet. He doesn't carry guns or swords, he ain't even big, he's pretty small. And he isn't wearing a T-shirt with "Berserker Mutant" written on it.He's got some muscles, that's all. because thats what he does its part of what makes him batman, just as superman is ever the boyscott.
maybe, maybe not though. I mean these fights are supposed to be both characters at their best. While batman may not use his gadgets as much as some would have one believe on here, it is safe to assume that batman's potential for using said gadgets is in far more excess than how he's portrayed on a normal basis. If he needs to pull out all the stops there's no reason to assume that he wouldn't.....still in a chance encounter, wolverine will win 6 times out of ten.

Of course, when they meet and Wolverine is in his X-Men costume with his claws unsheathed, then Batman will realize he better not come too close. But he still won't have the slightest idea Wolverine possesses a healing factor, heightened senses, a very high pain level and an unbreakable skeleton.
And that will be the reason for his defeat.
