Well anyway, it is almost certain that S.H won't be tried by an international court, given the fact the US doesn't recognize such institution (or it could create its own, but its impartiality would be questionable ; moreover this action would disavow the Iraqi government)

I doubt it will be an international court. a) The US hasn't signed up yet b) Their punishment might not satisfy the "hawks".

I would bet my money on an Iraqi trial, which more than likely will give him the death penalty.

The Iraqi's will probably trie him themself, and they will convict him to a life sentence, I think (I still hope they dont kill him)

I highly doubt Saddam outlawed death penalties on his reign. And I don't think the new council has outlawed it yet. So death seems inevitable...

well according to Belgian news they did, but they prolly push the Iraqi gouverment to do it, I wouldn't be surprised if the iraqi's just copy the american constitution

the united states is divided with capitol punishment/ and I dont think they would copy the constitution...mostly because if they could rid the government of it now..they would.it is written in the constitution the people have the right to bear arms and we all know the united states policy in'do as I say not as I do' they would never want iraqi's running around with guns legally

he had a chance to become a marthyr if he had fought back, but he gave up without a fight and I think he lost face in a lot of places around the arab world who looked at him as a sort of "arab leader"

It's crazy how journalists are using subtlties (I'm amazed that those fuhqwads are capable of such a refined action) to imply how strong America is and how weak Iraq is compared to us. It makes me sick to no end.
