Back in his own quarters, Ewan sat down on the shabby old couch to think. He didn't like war.. He had experienced it before. It had taken his family away from him. He would never forget when his sister had been dragged off by the Atlantians. He had been quite young, only 6 or 7. He was injured badly, his arm broken and his tail torn so that he couldn't swim. He hid in the corals, afraid of what would happen if they caught him. Then he had seen them grab her by the elbows and pull her away. Ewan was ashamed of that memory, ashamed for his lack of bravery. Then he thought of Lila. If war came again, he decided, he would stand and fight. Whatever the king wanted him to do, he would find a way to do it.
Ewan went to the throne room, but saw the king talking to Lila. He asked another servant to go and tell the king for him.
She nodded. "Yes, my lord." She heard of kings who didn't care about their subjects and those he ruled over, but King Thay was quite different, and she was glad. He was a very honorable king she respected highly. "I shall be in my room." She slowly swam away and in the hallway she saw Ewan. "Ewan!" She called, swimming after him.
Ewan sensed that there is something the king isn't telling him. "If this is about Lila.." The thought crossed his mind that he was planning on commiting suicide, but he pushed it away. Thay was wise. He would never be so petty. Ewan still worried, but did what the king told him and turned away.
((I have to go now cya))
