Thay felt himself blush warmly. "Oh guess what? another one." he handed her a small box.

Lindar smiled. "I bet I can guess what that is." he said quietly.

She took the small box and looked at Thay a little unsurely. She opened it..

... and saw a glowing medalion. "its a connection medallion. As long as we both were one, well now that the other is alive. It a family heirloom, bin in the family for five generations. Its always givent o loved ones."

Ewan came into the room, late again. He brought with him a small package, wrapped in brown paper and tied with string. He approached Lila and handed it to her. "I brought you something. Happy birthday, Lila." ((Its her birthday right I've been gone))

She put on the medallion. This gift was perhaps the best out of the three, because it meant a lot to him, which meant a lot to her. Before she could say anything she saw Ewan swim in. She swam up to him and kissed him on the cheek after he gave her his present. "Thank you, but u didn't have to get me anything." She smiled warmly. She then unwrapped the present, revealing... ( this is how we've been doing it, u can post what it is and then I'll post her reaction )

... a brown bugar thought Thay. But he quickly hushed such thoughts, he was king, and needed to act like it.

...A small statuette of a mermaid, made out of coral. "I know it's not much, but I couldn't afford anything better. I made it myself. Do you like it?"

"you cant afford anything better? youre the Royal messenger. youre paid more than any twwo regular merpoepl!" then Thay steeled himself. "oh yeah u havent started your job yet."

((Wow for a king Thay really does have some childish tendancies))

She studied the figure in her hands, tracing her fingers gently over the rock. (or is corral a shell? anyways... ) It was done with such accuracy, and obviously a lot of thought and time hand gone into it. She finally looked up at him and smiled. "I love it." She kissed his cheek. "Thank you."

Lindar was surprised and a little angered by the King's rudeness. He forced a smile.

Thay smiled. Lila was happy, and that made him happy. "And heres antoher present Lila." Thay handed her a big box. This box was different. I was a magical one. Whatever she wished for, when she unwrapped this box, it would be in there.

((I THOUGHT IT, my character, no matter how old or mature he gets, wil always have a childish side in his character))

((Its not really either its made by little invertebrates called coral polyps and it comes in a lot of different shapes colors sizes etc this particular kind happens to be a pale pink color))
Ewan smiled sheepishly. "You're welcome." He leaned over and gave her a hug before going to stand with the other guests.
