i didnt like it too much either ... the only way i could have gotten some fun out of it is if there wasnt a big hype about it ... like everything they said about at like E3 or whatever , nothing other then that is in the game so its like buying a game you already know everything about that its not interesting .... thats why i dont like it .... plus its boring no matter what difficulty
Yea, they hype def. killed this game. There was so much anticipation and then people are outraged when they find that it's not as much of a religious experience (so to speak) like they thought it would be. It really wasn't a bad game. The levels weren't as repetitive as some of the first game's levels were, and I wouldn't say the graphics were better...pursy...but there was nice scenery and cool to look at. The new weapons and enemies were a nice touch as well, and *spoiler* as far as being the arbiter for the covenant, I thought it was pretty cool. Yeah, it wasn't essential to the storyline (like going through the levels and whatnot) but it was still fun to play. I liked having covenant guys back me up for once (the marines have a hard time staying alive for me). It had its ups and downs but overall...TOO SHORT! I mean some of the levels were long and I know you can play heroic and legendary & all that hooblah, but I'd rather see them tack on a few more levels and add some story to it. I NEED TO BE SATISFIED WHEN I BEAT A VIDEO GAME! It's just not right, Bungie! I have friends who have been playing the new GTA since it game out non-stop and they still haven't finished it yet. I know these two games aren't exactly the same but come on! I got Halo 2 the day it game out, and I'm on the last level today, so I'm assuming I'll beat it tomorrow. And that’s with work and school each day too, let alone eating and sleeping! My brother beat it and said it was way too short and the ending leaves you wanting more. I haven't even beaten it yet and I already want more. I don't have an Xbox Live (and I'd like to know if it's worth getting for this game). Replay value? Eh, maybe. I was disappointed in this game overall. Yeah, it was fun and improved from the last Halo on many different aspects, BUT the hype killed it for me. It's like...now what? I waited MONTHS for THAT??? It's like waiting hours in line for a roller coaster that lasts a few minutes! Satisfying...to a point. Was it worth it? Yea, sure. I had fun. Will I ever expect a game to be as great as they said this game was gonna be? Nah. Total letdown as far as the hype is concerned. Don't get me wrong, Halo 2 is an excellent game, but considering all the smack everyone was talking...and all the time they had to make this game the shooter to end all shooters, they could have done better. A LOT better.
Robo-Chocobo, if the game was meant to be played on the highest difficulty setting, then why is the normal setting even offered.
The normal setting should be the setting that provides the player the best type of experince. The added difficulty settings are their for players who want the added challenge. Thats why they have difficulty settings, not for the reason to increase the length of the game. If the game was short on normal, its still as short on harder or "heroic."
Numerous difficulties are for replayability, Normal being the standard nowadays, with some form of "Easy" for new players, or others who just like to play through games on each difficulty, from easiest-hardest, it's all about challenging the gamer once they accomplish one difficulty, and unlockables are bonuses for doing so, all common knowledge.
This game delivered on every level that you would expect it on.
Right now, i'm over 1/2 way through the game on Legendary (started on it) and it's more fun than ANY first person shooter that I've ever played except Counter Strike on PC, but that got War3 mode to help it out.
This game has a great replay value and the multiplayer is great. I'll go out on a limb and say that no other console FPS comes close to it.
i think is pretty good. the graphics, plot, gameplay, everything is better than the original.
some of the cutscenes are too fricking long though. i like how it switched between playing Chief and the Arbiter. the weapons are much better and has much more variety--especially the Energy Sword and the Sentinel Beam (two of my favorites).
And the blood and gore looks much more realistic.
it definitely met my expectations.
Predator it is really is a cliffhangar, expect to be staring at your screen for a couple of minutes after it's over, waiting to play the next level. For the people who don't think it is a leap above Halo, that's is still very good considering Halo is the best console FPS, but I agree the story in Halo 2 isn't that much better than Halo, but the multiplayer and gameplay is a ton better in Halo 2. The main 2 problems I have with the game is the bumpmapping problems in the cutscenes and that there are no lists for muliplayer just the crappy matchmaking. I just don't know how Bungie could let such an obvious bug as the bumpmap jumping in the cutscenes occur. They're a much better company than that and I don't know why it wasn't fixed. But luckily it is only a minor problem in a great game.

It isn't terrible, that's just what happens with almost all 2 acts of a story, this one is just much more overblown because the game was expected so much. Look at Two Towers, that had no resolution just set things up for ROTK, look at Matrix Reloaded, that had a huge cliffhanger with Neo stopping the sentinels, look at Empire Strikes back, again no conclusion and ends with you not knowing what is going to happen to Han and just finding out that Vader is Anakin's father. All of these have cliffhangers in the same way Halo 2 does because they are the second act of a story, so of course it won't have a resolution or definitive ending as you want. This is again another area the hype hurt the game.
the original Halo wasn't meant to be part of a trilogy, but since then the whole Halo story has become much bigger and I think will end in Halo 3, but you never no. Both Matrix Reloaded and Two Towers stopped in the middle of the story, Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions are actually one movie split in two, so I don't see the reasoning for why Halo is different.
you'll notice the flood are stronger, but fewer in number ✅
eg: the little baby flood... before there would be about 200, that would do about 5% damage
now there's about 10 doing 15% 😛
reason: the game is simply too detailed, and loading up such large numbers would cause horrible lag
as for their difficulty dying... shotgun pwns 😉
