He's the best villain Naruto has had. Though his end-game has been fairly disappointing due to Naruto's interference and his true goal is low-key, it does not make him any less interesting. And he likes trolling both the audience and the shinobi. Also, he has a badass mask & fan.

Since they don't, you should assume that that is just a fisheye "picture" of a small section of the ocean.
I think a 3x5 km estimate is more accurate. Even then, that may be too small.

So since Tobi knows Kakashi he needs to be someone who was in the Leaf at the point in time in which Kakashi was already active. He's probably one of Root, given that his "peace" no matter what and cutting all emotion through the world seems to be close to the ideology we've seen from other members.
But do we even know that many Root characters? Frankly, he might as well be Danzo since they have he Sharigan on the same side of their face. A bunch of characters keep the sharigan on that side, so its probably a red herring most of the time...

Kakashi was a young man during Tobi's little visit/adventure to Konoha, the first time.
However, it seems morel likely that it was the weakened form of Madara because Madara keeps referring to events and plans he had that seemed to have been made in the last 10-20 years.

Well, until the point when he got Kurama's chakra from the gold and silver brother's he still needed to fight with Naruto. Then, as stated already, he wanted to get as much power as possible from the 8 and 9 tails. He obviously underestimated Naruto and Bee and now has to rely on a less than full powered juubi and the fact that Madara was revived. This has forced him to go ahead and rush things since his chance of succeeding is lessening the longer he waits. I don't see any real problem with this scenario.

He is clearly Aoba. Think about it: We've never seen his eyes and he is basically responsible for Sasuke leaving Konoha.
I can't decide if that would bring Danzo up in my eyes or bring Tobi down. Hope it's not the case since Danzo had a pretty decent death(and a neat ending statement).
Then again, Itachi had a fairly okay death and now he has an even better ending. So eh?

How could it possibly be Danzou? He and Tobi were both present at the same time during the Sasuke fight.
Why not shisui or someone like that? I know he lost both of his eyes but it's not like Uchiha's can't get more. Plus he loves to use genjutsu so this plan wouldn't have been out of character for him. Hell, he was gonna genjutsu his entire clan until Danzou interfered. The only thing is I think he would be too young.

Itachi was clearly tormented by his decision for the rest of his life. Tobi seems gleeful about it. Danzo? Well I think Danzo is an evil douche that uses "For Konoha!!!" as an excuse to further his own power and basically let him do anything he wants because it's "For Konoha!!!" but then again I hate Danzo.
Doesn't matter to me. And I'll take a huge forehead over creepy pupiless eyes any day.
