anyway, i'm off of that

i wonder what was up with that hidden sharingan eye tobi had that was sacrificed for izanagi.

Probably his just in case weapon for emergencies.

Danzo did give Itachi the choice between killing Sasuke or leaving him alive, it served no propose to him.

Other than to get him several sharingan in order for him to use Izanagi and such. That choice, while on the surface seems like an act of kindness, was really only a means of getting Itachi to do the did. Keep in mind, he was pretty unconcerned with making peace with the Uchiha(he stopped Shisui's attempt to end the conflict with his eye for example), opting entirely to just wipe them out. At the end of the day, Konoha was safe from destruction and Danzo got quite a few eyes out of everything. The only downsides to this are leaving Itachi and Sasuke alive but they can be dealt with later.

Speaking of Danzō's arm, how did they actually manage to transplant eyes into an arm? The eye needs to be connected to a complex of arteries and nerve endings in order to not decay, and that's not including the closing of the eyes.

Say what you want about Konoha's technology, but they are centuries ahead of us in biological research.

The Uchina would've been decimated anyways to be fair, he would've gotten his eyes and finished both Itachi and Sasuke off. He didn't win anything save maybe getting less people killed from his side, but one way or another, it can be seen ultimately as a nice gesture towards Itachi.

BUT, keep in mind that Danzo doesn't believe in ideals nor altruism, it is quite clear that he's depicted as someone who always believes the worst out of everyone, he cannot conceive to do a fully generous gesture towards anyone because that would be against his conception of the world. In his own mindset, Danzo is doing something incredibly generous to Itachi, you just don't want to put yourself in his place because you hate the old dude 😛

Magical tree tech was involved, since it seems to be able to grow entire bodies, its safe to say they helped a lot into the process.

Not true. Hiruzen seemed pretty dead set against the prospect and even when Danzo was bargaining with Itachi, what Danzo was suggesting technically wasn't legal since Sarutobi made it clear he wanted to wait.

You are quite frankly out of your mind if you believe Itachi was anything more than a pawn to Danzo. I don't think Danzo views anyone with a degree of humanity except possibly Hiruzen. The offer to save Sasuke's life was a means to an end, nothing more than that. Danzo shows later on he gives dick all about how Itachi feels(Tobi seems more sincere in his sympathies than Danzo does). And even Itachi recognized that he was full of crap since it's stated that he made sure the Third protected Sasuke from Danzo and Itachi's return to Konoha was a threat to him. It's like saying Orochimaru considered himself kind for offering Tsunade a revived brother and love just for a wee bit of medical ninjutsu.

On a side note, I really love this moment.

It just makes me laugh because even Danzo was all "What the shit?"

tsukiyomi can overlap the izanagi genjutsu apparently, izanagi being one of the strongest genjutsu there is and sasuke's was described as "weak".

whatever

The trick is knowing when to use it. Tobi says as much. That's kind of a staple for Naruto fights in general really. Subtle actions that require keen timing and observation to use. A lot of characters beat opponents who have better techniques cause they're smart enough to create an opening.

Everyone pairings!

Tayuya and Kin is the best pairing there.

And **** if the whole Konan/Pain thing wasn't awkward for Nagato. There was no question, she was hawt for Yahiko. One has to wonder if he ever offered filling in with Deva Path.

Considering its a dead body, I doubt it can still, you know, 'function'..... down there.

I'd think it's even more awkward for Konan!

Men wearing nail polish makes me mad.

As does women wearing nail polish, but I can tolerate that.

That's not true.

They are around the same as we are, currently. But they have the added benefit of "magical healing powers". We can detect poisons just as they can, create antidotes just like they can, set bones just like they can, and we can even regenerate tissues (but not nearly to the extent that they can).

Keep in mind that they cannot even treat what looks like tuberculosis (Kimimaru).

In about a decade or two, we will exceed their medical abilities including healing capabilities...without magic. Some are even predicting biological immortality in about 2 decades based on current progression models.

I'd say they're different than we are. Magic healing powers are good for some things, less so for others.

For example, Orochimaru's senju test that gave Yamato powers. It seems like compatibility could be tested without actually putting babies at risk. Not necessarily 'will it work' compatibility, but 'will this be fatal'. One can judge many types of reactions with tissue samples and less dangerous trials.

And of course, the tuberculosis thing. Disease seems trickier for chakra medics than it is for us.

Btw, one fun invention that is in the works and has been tested- spray-on skin.

Rather than skin graphs, they take some stem cells, some existing skin cells, which quickly grows more (like,in an hour or two), and then it's put in what's basically a paint gun, spray it over the skinless area.. and it's done and healthy in four days.

Spoiler:
Neat little fight. But the most important thing is obvious: The mask has been smashed.

Hate that Kakashi has used Kamui so much in this fight. Other than that, I liked how the fight has gone.

That was pretty badass 🙂

Spoiler:
Kamui'ing the clone was clever. I also liked Tobi's fuma shuriken attack, another strong trick for his arsenal.

Tobi is weaksauce.

this was indeed a pretty badass fight, but I gotta agree with AuraAngel on Kakashi really using Kamui. makes you wonder a bit on just how he has not died yet. oh wait, plot armor.

at least Tobi's mask is gone. finally, we'll see his damn face.
