The main reason I doubted Tobito being the case was the chronology of stuff like the Kurama attack and the time as Mizukage. There's going to be some explanation for them, but the timeline is... tricky.

Indeed. Kishi has got some splaining to do. But hey, Tobi is still my favorite Naruto character. Just need the backstory to round it out. If not, yay for Chiyo.

And is it just me or does it seem like Obito could just kill all of them right now? I mean, they blew off his mask so cat's out of the bag but they look worn, Kakashi is fawking out(he should be anyway), and he looks like he could keep going. He was kicking their collective asses before and his mask seems to have prevented all Rasengan damage.

Naruto, Killerbee, and Gai are fine. Also, the clone might still be in Kamuispace to hit him if he tries to phase again.

Yeah.

Gai could probably go eighth-gate and end this right now. Only reason he hasn't is because, you know. He'd die.
