But anyway, damn good feat for what amounts to just a zetsu clone at the start there. Could they all punch through that boulder like that?

The chapter was kind of shit. I was hoping for that the clone would alter his psyche to some degree, thus the splitting of his persona to good boy Tobi and the evildoer Madara.

But no, nothing happens until he arrives at the battlefield and Kakashi has his hand deep down Rin's cookie jar.

Yeah that explains it. We definitely need more context for next week.

I assume it was some Mist mind-control thing and Kakashi had no choice but to kill her to prevent her from a worse fate. That her she was about to reveal secrets that they were protecting on their mission and...the mind-control stuff again was going to force her to reveal so he had no choice.

Another option is....mind controlled Rin was fighting against Kakashi and he had no choice but to kill her or be killed.
