I was out of internet for a while. I had to read 25 chapters of Naruto to catch back up and that's excluding trying to catch back up with Bleach. Anyway, my suspicions were correct all along in it being Kakashi's old comrade. I'm also not sure how the news is ultimately going to effect Kakashi's fighting ability. He seems emotionally immobilized by the situation now.

Indeed, perhaps tied to the Senju dna that he now has around his eye. It's not reciprocated vision because Kakashi doesn't have the dna either. Or perhaps it's just because it was originally Obito's eye to begin with.
