Including Tobirama, there were 6 more ninja who were likely all Jounin-level, such as Hiruzen, who became the Hokage the very next day. Even then all 7 of them knew they couldn't win against those 20 dudes.

It wouldn't surprise me if all but Hiruzen and Danzo were special jonin.

After all, Minato's bodyguard consisted of 3 special jonin.

It's even possible- though admittedly a lot less likely- for some of them to be chunin level at the time. We've seen chunin and jonin on the same team before (Kakashi/Obito/Rin)

Hoping for Naruto to last longer than a year.

Ive been dreading this day when naruto will soon dissapear and people wont know what this anime would be. It would be a mystic word in the back of the head, just like poor dragonball Z.

The anime will keep it alive for a while longer.

Pretty much everything left in the anime is fights, all the team had to do is make them longer and more interesting an they have a good anime again

Unless they do is they create a whole new story as konohamaru the new one trying to become hokage and kakashi ends up being his teacher and the new show will be called that, With naruto as hokage and shikamaru as his right hand man.

Does anyone want to any prediction of who will die next?

Who knows. Maybe they were like the 7 Swordsmen of the Mist. Fairly powerful ninjas with some overpowered abilities, and good teamwork. The fact that they were able to corner those 7 shows that they were skilled.

I sincerely doubt Tobirama would have appointed a Special Jounin, even one he had personally trained, to be the next Hokage. Danzou was also supposedly very close to Hiruzen's level.

Yeah, some of them could have been Chuunin. After all, there was a World War going on, which is the main reason why Team Minato was split up like that.

Yea, those two were, but they were likely a reasonable amount above their teammates.
