Well Nartuo vs 3rd Raikage doesn't look too bad. Better than the Nagato fight which is sad 🙁

^ then you remember that naruto could not beat him with anything he had (short of a tailed beast bomb possibly), even with being a jinchuuriki (that raikage can eat for breakfast). all he could do was make the guy hurt himself and not even a instantly lethal blow since the heart is on the other side, the left arm would stop the bleeding if he were living, and most importantly, the only thing that could harm raikage was out of use for naruto.

It does show us how lousy things were in the pre-village period.

I think my main problem with this chapter is that it's doing the same thing as the Obito flashback and taking its time. The problem is that Tobi is much more important to the plot. He needed to take his time with explaining Obito. Hashirama...well he's less so. I don't think it is really necessary for everyone to see how he eventually established the village system. It's interesting I guess but it takes a while.

But I guess after all that fighting it's nice to have a cool down period.

Don't forget this is also about Madara and how he changes.

Got 6 pages into the chapter.

Realized that I don't care about Madara or the 1st, so I went off to do something else.

I think we can all agree that this chapter was zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I disagree, completely. I enjoyed this chapter. It was necessary. I have been wanting to see the whole Hashirama vs. Madara fight, for a while. I wanted the story fleshed out on how Hashirama and Madara calmed down the Shinobi world a bit. It was savage and Kishi is showing us why it was such a savage time. Sure, same things happen (children being killed left and right) but it happens far less, apparently.

Naruto is this generation's Hashirama. That's what is being shown to us.

Also, I did laugh at Hashirama picking on Madara. Hashirama is quickly becoming one of my faves. 😄

But is hashirama explaining all this irrelevant stuff to sasuke's dumb ass or what? It begs the question as to what the hell he would have told them if they never said they were in a hurry due to the world possibly going to shit.

Sasuke's in dire need of a new paradigm shift so hashi better abridge this not- so-epic tale

maybe he really is explaing all of this to Sasuke. Sasuke did ask him just what shinobi really were/what they were meant for. he couldn't have expected it to be quick thing to answer.

and I enjoyed this chapter too. nice to see that Hashirama liked ot screw with Madara like that, kinda make him sorta like Naruto only he pretends to be sad and easily bullied. and I bet that stream/river they were at is going to be revealed to be the one that eventually becomes the Valley of the End.
