Pretty decent chapter. I like how it was structured the most.
The problem is kind of an intentional one but also maybe a bit unintentional. Because Tobirama is just really unlikable, which he is supposed to kinda be, I as the reader cannot get into struggle Hashirama faces between killing his brother or Madara because Madara is surprisingly more likable.
But that is just me.
Madara doesn't seem to really care about the Hokage thing since he mostly just made fun of the title. Tobirama's decision to do something for the village's sake on the other hand probably pissed him off. And he was completely right.
I mean it's pretty clear that Madara wasn't posing a problem until Tobirama implied that he was going to punish the Uchiha for things they might do in the near future.
Wonder how Sasuke is taking this?
Man, Tobirama is one of my least favorite characters now. He has proven to be an unforgiving, intolerant prick. I'd have to say he is huge reason Madara became the way he is. It kinda makes me see where Madara is coming form with his mistrust and hatred.
Madara could have stuck it out though. Hashirama was willing to make him the first Hokage, and if not, the second. It would have been his choice, not Tobirama's. I'm sure Hash could have swayed people's mine, if not Madara himself if he would have just stuck it out.

Mind you the reason I don't hate Tobirama is because part of this is completely intentional on Kishi's part to make us sympathize with Madara. But because Tobirama has no real moments that makes us, the readers, like him it sorta just makes you want Madara to stomp his ass into the ground.
At the same time, this is a long feud, many of his family were killed by the Uchiha, and he's probably right about some Uchiha plotting.
So even though he's causing problems, it's not like I don't understand why.

I know. But I mean Izuna was every bit as racist and uncompromising as Tobirama. But I still like him more because he was genuinely a loving brother. Tobirama treats his brother like crap really.
pffft, i like Tobirama.
The fact that Madara couldn't deal with ONE person hating him proves Tobirama's point that he shouldn't be in the position to make decisions on behalf of a military power. He'd be quick to catch feelings and go to war with another village just because someone stepped on his brand new shoes.
