IIRC, Indra's was a spiral. Momoshiki's looks like the Rinnegan with a different colour (Red + white) scheme?
I thought they were fighting in the area where the fight against Juubito & Juubidara took place. Another place states that the planet where the battle takes place has its own Shinju, srug

It's at least a better combination of the parents designs than most of the other children. Shikadai is kinda cool with Tamari's eyes but just looking at Himawari is proof that she is Naruto/Hinata's kid. Unlike Bolt, whose mom could be anyone really. Ino's kid looks way worse than any other.
He does? News to me. All signs so far indicate the Boruto doesn't have a high opinion of his dad. Sure in chapter 700 he wanted to hang out with him but he clearly doesn't think much of him in the Sarada gaiden and he's downright mean to Naruto("I'd rather have no parents than a father like you!"😉.

At this point the awesome days where the ninja society was kinda dark and edgy is gone. In The Last it is revealed that the academy asks children who they love most in the world...for reasons I guess. This goes against the whole teaching them to be emotionless earlier in the series but there we are.
That said I too do not know why Boruto's actions are considered cheating. He's using scrolls that contain techniques for a fight, which seems no different than a summoning technique or the like. Unless using the scrolls themselves is illegal, in which case Boruto broke the law instead of cheating on a test.

Well, it is an official fight. There's a difference between resourcefulness and outright fighting dirty in an official fight.
The point of the Chuunin exams was to select individuals who would be good leaders and team-mates. A cheater doesn't exactly come off as a good leader & team-mate.

Not saying her design is bad, just that it is cute, but there's something off-putting about it. Maybe the whiskers and that weird thing on her hair that Boruto also has.
Inojin looks ridiculous, I agree.
He's kind of a Tsundere really. As soon as he thinks he's beaten Shikadai, he asks for a fist-bump from Naruto. And I think Sasuke might have told him some stuff that caused him to empathize more with Naruto.

Well, summoning techniques involve contracts and requires chakra. The scrolls completely remove the need for chakra, and you can store jutsu you cannot use or haven't mastered.
