I am not saying you are wrong, but to my recollection, Madara has NEVER stated his EMS is what granted him eternal life.

That is the only quote from him where he gives any sort of explanation for his apparent immortality, I have yet to see a quote stating it was due to the EMS.

This could be taken to mean EMS = Immortality. It doesn't specifically say it but Itachi does talk about him being the only one able to achieve true immortality, and he's in the middle of talking about taking Sasuke's eyes, and about the final secret of the sharingan.

Madara has immortality because he traded MS with his younger brother. His MS is also EMS, because of the same. That's a rather basic Naruto concept. 😐

hes specifically referring to using the eye to make his powers immortal there... meaning he can use the powers all day all night without the side effects...

But based on EVIDENCE, it has never been stated that the EMS granted Madara immortality, only that the MS would not drain his life.
Could the EMS be what granted him immortality? Sure.
Based on evidence, should we assume it was what did so? No way.
The most concrete evidence we have is Madara referencing his chakra, no the EMS.

That doesn't do that at all. It doesn't even come close. Rather, what it does is establish Itachi telling his brother that the Uchiha brothers come after each other for the eyes, yet, we don't read of brothers coming after each other other than Madara after his younger brother. At that, Madara says his brother gave them to him, willingly.
What you have there could be simply manipulation from Itachi to Sasuke. Does anyone else in the whole series mention that? No. Could it have been a lie from Itachi to get Sasuke to prove he is ready to take over for Itachi? Sure. In fact, that seems much more plausible than saying brothers in the Uchiha clan come after each other for each other's eyes. That is rather unlikely as we only have 1 example of that: Madara.

There's no way I'm going to read all of Naruto to try and figure out where I got that idea from. I "knew" about it well before Itachi said he was going to take Sasuke's eyes to become immortal.
