Not really true. individual pain bodies were wrecking the village when he attacked konoha. Further when working together, there abilities complement each others nicely.

Team Gai was on a mission
Yamato and Sai were on a mission
Neji's uncle was gone too

Konoha has much more than Team Gai, Yamato and Sai. While the other Jonins may not be in the spotlight as much soloing large groups of them is still inmpressive.
HEck animal pain alone would decimate most ninja without Tsunade/sage naruto like superstrength or sharingan eyes.

It's not impressive if they were fodder. Iruka what did he do nothing Ebisu nothing, those 2 ninja that watched asuma die nothing. Hell Konohamaru did more then most of the people that were there.
Im just sayin if they were there things would have been different

The 4th hokages best feats come from him defeating numerous nameless jonins. Numerous teams of jonins were trying to stop animal realm and his summons. Absorbing pain was also shown fighting multiple ninja.Shizune got her soul pulled out by another body. They werent just standing there allowing them to destroy the village. They were fighting back but simply failing badly.
IF they were there it wouldnt have made much of a difference.
Team Gai, Sai, Anko, Hiashi, and Yamato being there to fight wouldn't have made any difference at all. Now if all the ninja of the village had actually fought it might have made a difference. But the Aburame clan wasn't, only two members of the Inuzaka clan appeared, and none of the Hyuuga appeared to really fight.
