Bee definitely needed that ridiculous amount of PIS. Without Samehada turning on Kisame like that, he would have lost both the fight, and his legs.
Even if he had released Hachibi, Samehada would likely have reverted Hachibi back into Killerbee. After all, it reverted V2 back into V1.

Aoba's still a special jonin, and standard deployment is in groups of four. Naruto, Yamato, Gai, and ... well, you don't need much more power. And Yamato's obviously in command and most specifically in dealing with Naruto. Gai's basically a bodyguard.

So the fourth is someone who is somewhat combat useful, but for role most likely has the job of handling stuff like communicating with Cloud's representative and sending messages. If Akatsuki attacks, his job is to get word out while the other three do the real fighting, or if they need supplies, he'd be the one to obtain them.

That'd be my guess. An extra hand for lower level tasks.

I'm not saying that Bee should have just beat him up in that encounter, i'm saying Kubo should have written the fight so that Kisame was not so overpowering, and simply lost to Killerbee in a fair fight. Then there would have been no PIS and it would have been pretty consistent with what was known about the characters.

According to Kisame, he gets stronger in proportion to the strength of his opponents, which makes sense as he has a very potent chakra draining/absorbing ability; Killerbee's one strong dude. Kisame was supposed to be overpowering.

Killer Bee needs to die already. The guy is becoming a mary sue with Soulja Boy hype.

Maybe due to his speciality? Aoba is a genjutsu user, something Gai and Naruto are bad at, so that'd be more useful to the squad than someone with physical abilities.

No Neji had the all time best fight with Hinata and Naruto. IMO.

😕 Really now sure how Neji/Hinata can be one of the all-time best fights but hey that's your opinion.

I can see where your coming from, Sasuke isn't taijutsu type so his fights are more flashy than energetic.

Yeah, Kishimoto might be using the Four Symbols/Mythological Beasts from Chinese Mythology. We all know how he loves to draw influences from Japanese/Oriental mythology.

Peacock would stand in for the Vermillion Bird. (South)
Tiger would stand in for...well, the White Tiger. (West)
My guess is that the next one would be Evening Tortoise. (North)
Finally, Night Dragon which would stand in for the Azure Dragon. (East)
