Yeah, actually it would be pretty cool if every time I killed someone, I also got 72 hours of "fun time" in a dimension where I could do anything and everything I wanted. I wouldn't even pay attention to them, just set up a loop. I totally see why he does it that way.
That also explains why he was always overusing the technique.

I don't think he'd get any fun time; If it has an automatic setting, then it probably doesn't put his mind through 72 hours at all. If it didn't, it'd probably need real control.

well it did...i never really understood why killing a dead body that's basically being used as a puppet would render it useless anyway... but apparently it does
The puppet's 'strings' are still muscles and veins, it's just the nervous system and chakra that comes from the outside. So the body has to be in functional condition.

Actually outside of that "freeing my soul from its bonds" BS, this a was a pretty good chapter. I liked seeing the Sasori vs Sasori matchup.
Yea.
Spoiler:
Kankuro claims to surpass him, but I'd say it's more he's strong enough to compete finally, which combined with strong backup and Sasori lacking in puppets helped turn things.Omoi's pretty badass, as one one expect from KB's squad. At least special jonin level, minimum.
Deidara suffers from *everyone* knowing his weaknesses now, Sasori from, well, rapidly having no puppets other than Shin. And they both suffer a bit from zombie sloppiness.
Effectively 3-on-2, Jonin-level types vs S-class nin.
In a way, this was the best ending Shin and Sai could hope for, killing each other themselves would've been much worse. Shin got to see his drawing.

Even when Naruto's not at it's best, it's *still* face-paced, has good emotional moments, and pretty cool fighting.
