http://mangastream.com/read/naruto/70902249/12So it looks like the talisman is still "around" and not absorbed. If word gets out that they are controlled by the talisman in their neck/base of the head, then the "good guys" could turn the army against Kabuto/Madara.
another option (IDK how this would work exactly, but, it would fit all observations) is if the talisman somehow takes on the same regenerative powers the body has.

I'll buy that. If what Q99 suspects is true, then it is absorbed and becomes part of the body...being part of the whole thing. If that were true, then it regenerates, wholly, after being blown to bits.
If we use a combination of my idea and Q99's...then it is partially absorbed, making Oro's comment about it being at the base of the skull true, but making Q99's idea of it being part of the body true as well...explaining it regenerating with the blown up Shin.
I still prefer my own idea of it being removable, however. 😄 Yours works to explain all the discrepancies, though.

Yeah, I concede whatever it is you are getting hard about. If want to cover the topic in a much more thorough manner, seriously, go back on read Q99's and my convo.
I did. In fact, I was involved in that conversation if you recall. Did not see anything that disproved me.

When was this comment made?

You know, it's chapters like this that make me realize how much I like Choji.
nice kid though, but he needs to hang out with gai for like...a year
If you recall, the conversation between you and QT was concerning talisman talk and whether it could be destroyed. Not really what I'm talking about. I want to know when Orochimaru said that comment about the talisman being in the base of the skull.
That and looking back, you keep saying already addressed. Odd all things considered.
Anbu acknowledge the talisman.

I dun know, he seems okay enough. He has some smarts to him just not as hax as others.
Why? 😮

Cool. I concede whatever it is that you were talking about because I thought Oro said that, not the Anbu...but I love it that you spent some time actually reading the conversation. 😉 I really don't care about that because that's not what I was on about. It doesn't actually address what my actual point was.
Anyway, that makes it waaaaaaaaaaaaaay worse. It's a major plothole since the Anub were saying it. I thought it was Oro saying it to Saru. Since they acknowledge it, are not destroyed, it's just really bad writing. I do not care about the word games you will now want to play with "implanted." You can kindly keep that to yourself.
I have nothing better to do. And the point I addressed was the falseness of this:

As to the origins of this, you think it is possible to remove the talisman to free the people. Fine but the SA never acknowledges that it's possible. They don't mention being able to do it. It's not from lack of information. So it's either incredible PIS that no one thought of it or it's not possible.

....Why is that a plot hole?

I'm okay with making a mistake. I make lots of them. I do not care about petty arguments like that.
The REAL argument was about whether or not it was absorbed and about the stupidty of NOT devising a plan to remove the talismans.
Here's another subject one could inquire about Edo Tensei. Why are all of these legendary badasses turn into weak zombie versions of themselves? Does Kabuto have something to do with not only Sasori but Hanzo becoming fail when they're brought back?
I mean, it can't take that much chakra to give a zombie and order and completely bind its will in order to complete it. On top of that, once it's done he doesn't have to worry about the summon anymore unless he wants to recall it.

This is obviously serious business...
Anyway, it had no actual bearing on the original point I made. I was simply trying to be nice about Kishi's work and pretending that he really didn't write himself into a horrible plot hole. I was wrong and you've helped destroy some of my faith his writing abilities.
How dare you.

Oh rly? 😄
?
I don't see why my assumptions are baseless.
We see someone get blown up, no talisman. No one references the talismans after the bodies turn into paper. They're either not there or not mentioned. I go with the former.
I assume it is not possible because no one has mentioned it as a possibility of dealing with the bodies. Not Kabuto, who explained how to stop the technique and it's weaknesses. Not the whole of the SA, who don't seem to have ordered trying to remove the tags. Not even Sarutoi tried blowing their brains out in order to get to the talismans in the heads of the 1st and 2nd.
If it is possible at all, it seems like it would have to be done later on when the bodies are captured. And even then I naturally assume the vitality of the shinobi will go down.
