@psycho gundam - I think Shikamaru would probably turn down Hokage. He's just really not motivated enough to lead the village. I think he's got some stuff that would make a great Hokage sure but the role isn't something I can actually see him choosing to do.

this is all leading up to sasuke uchiha vs konoha.
now he is being told that the reason his brother killed the uchihas was a command from the higher-ups to rid konoha of the upstart uchihas, now that itachi is dead he has to take madara's word for it.

It's just another excuse for Sasuke to fight Naruto. Who better for him to face against the village that killed his family than the one person he knows that wants to be Hokage more than anything. Sasuke never listens to anybody so I'm going to be very disappointed if he listens to Tobi. Can't take advice from friends like Kakashi, Sakura, and Naruto yet listens and trusts Tobi. Course now that Itachi is dead...the whole revenge thing isn't going to just die inside him and with Konoha to blame now. I just might...though probably not...have a tiny bit more respect for Sasuke if he doesn't listen to Tobi even if Tobi isn't lying.

maybe this is the newest way for tobi to get revenge against konoha.

bingo, just like orochimaru madara is using sasuke to gain more power.

Maybe for once Sasuke will be wise. Though I won't count on it. He probably stopped listening and started plotting revenge against Konoha as soon as he heard Konoha elders has Uchiha killed.

Yeah. I'm not looking forward to Sasuke becoming the penultimate Konoha ninja slaying badass that it looks like he's becoming.

Well...that sucks. I just got a mental image of Sasuke plowing through the Rookie 9, Team Gai, Kakashi, Gai, Kurenai, and Tsunade. Which probably isn't to farfetched when it comes to Sasuke.

Team Gai should take on Hebi. To make up for their little fight against Kisame that they were owned in. Neji vs Suigetsu, Karin vs TenTen, and Lee vs Juugo. Lee always had the cool fights in Naruto he needs one for Shippuden and the only ones I can think of he may have a chance against are from Hebi.

If Naruto wins against Sasuke I'll be surpised with the way the manga is making Sasuke win everything and the fact that Naruto can't go past 3-tails or use his Wind Rasengan.

Naruto went to 4-tails, remember? Or are you talking about the fact that he should not be allowed to or else he will be damaged?

The fact it hurts him, and he's not in control. He can use the Wind Rasengan also it's just a bad idea.

basically naruto has suicide moves.

his father is named namikaze and the way naruto's good attacks backfire he should have named his son kamakazi.

so far naruto's best and most reliable move is the shadow clone, he should just stick with it but perfect his taijutsu so that they don't get dispelled so easily.

You know using a shadow clone as a plot device they can get round the whole wind rasengan fuks him up.

It just might. Naruto has to learn a way to use that move somehow. The whole training was pointless if he can't use his only elemental jutsu, and it's not like he knows any other jutsu to combine with his element.

I hate how he only has one elemental jutsu.

Well, it might be a way to build up dramatic tension. Picture it:

Final fight of the entire series, it's up to Naruto to save the ****ing day again, everyone else is down and he's on his last leg. His thousands of kage bunshins spam has failed a hundred times. All hope seems lost... !!!

Ignoring the cries of protest from Sakura abotu how it will kill him Naruto cooks up a rasenshuriken and WTFdestroys the final villain of the series and possibly himself in a penultimate cataclysmic explosion of Anime styled orgasm.
