Its not too amazing when you consider how lame Nagato really is.

Spoiler:
As he himself lampshades on the final page.

I blame Kabuto for Pain's second death, actual healthy Nagato could be more dangerous imo.

Yeah but this time it sorta wasn't his fault....well he probably would've killed himself after talking to Naruto had Kabuto not stepped in so it's kind of even.

Speaking of which I wonder if Kabuto realizes that he just lost his two strongest Edo zombies because of his greed while the SA gained an Immortal Itachi out of it.

He should really pull up this last coffin soon unless he lucks out and kills Onoki/Gaara.....which isn't likely at all.

no kidding, Kabuto really did screw himself over here. he loses Nagato and Naruto and co. get Itachi unless something else goes down to change that. like you pointed out, Wakkawakkawakka, Kabuto's only hope at regaining control of the situation is that last coffin.

I kinda wish Madara would show up and be like "WTF just happened?"

I don't know how I feel about the chapter. I probably don't like it, considering Kabuto can't catch a freaking break. I don't really like Kabuto but I'd like for him to have some sort of credible win at least. But no, instead he actually forgot that Itachi, the guy he lost control of not 5 seconds prior, was even there...Really? Really Kabuto?

Oh, and I like how Naruto is playing Captain Obvious here. "You can use all of Pains powers!?" No shit Sherlock. The audience figured that out when he shot you in the face with Shinra Tensei.

I dunno, it feels like this chapter was here basically to cater to the character of Itachi. And I'll be frankly honest, I don't really care about Itachi very much at all. I'd have rather him not have been revived but looks like that didn't work out.

So what happens now?

Madara has his own minor inconviniences to worry about called, "Tsunade and A" since he's heading for HQ. However he could get the jump on Kabuto now since he lost his two big guns.

Kabuto has been a general noob at using Edo Tensei. I guess that's what he get for trying to be Orochimaru...and failing at it. I can assume that Itachi is completely free of Kabuto's influence to the point where he can't be recalled...if he could that would make Kabuto even more lame than he is now.

Well any potential for Naruto being a serious/more clever character was lost upon Sage Mode becoming obsolete. He has gradually reverted back to his clueless Pre-Sage Mode persona once discovering this form.

Itachi being on their side could be a foreshadowing to the coming of Sasuke....I think. Even if he is a psychopath the plot still needs him for reasons yet to be discovered.

He can kick Tsunade and A's ass later. He should be heading for Naruto and Bee.

But that's stupid.

Indeed. Sage Mode was much cooler.

Because he is Naruto's only reason for living? And you don't really need Itachi to foreshadow that. Now, I'd like for Madara to show up and fight Itachi. That would be fun. Still has to catch Naruto and Bee but a fight at the moment would be pretty fun.

Somehow Madara sees Tsunade and A as a bigger priority at the momment. Either that or he wan't to test his powers on people he would've beaten pre-Rinnegan anyway.

Yes....Kabuto isn't good at using ET at all. He did loose all of his overpowered zombies....not counting Muu and 2nd Mizukage.

Yes it was.

No not that reason...something else involving Madara's plans. I was thinking something on the lines of a new technique for Sasuke's Susanoo. Hmmm...Madara fighting Itachi. I can even see Madara thanking him for driving Sasuke insane.

Maybe only the original body can handle multiple paths, and remote bodies can only handle one each.

Or just Nagato (and Madara) both figure it's overall better to have more for the 'multiple places at once (with abilities greater than summons), more bodies for taijutsu, Naraka can revive casualties' thing. The more bodies you have, the more likely Naraka comes into play.

Hm.. though if it were possible, what would be the best combos...?

Deva only combines well with Asura and Preta. Preta helps pretty much any path, but'd make Asura particularly deadly... or Deva pretty much entirely unkillable.

You can either slap the two soul-power ones together, or you combine Animal and Naraka for the ultimate support path (that you want damaged even less than either is already).

For whatever reason, they all have the Rinnegan, so I don't really see why remote bodies should be limited to one Path.

Makes sense.

Deva would combo better with Preta than Asura would IMO. Deva has that 5 second weakness which would be eased out if it could absorb all ninjutsu/chakra. Asura would work extremely well with Naraka, due to how weak Naraka seemed to be in direct combat. Animal and Human would be able to pull off that combo Nagato just did against Naruto, but then again, regular Human Path would be able to if that Summon helped it.

I have few questions after reading this chapter that might've been answered already but I'll ask them again.

To start how is it that Itachi knows how Chibaku Tensei works while Naruto is dumbstruck by it? Along with this how is it that his Susanoo has new techniques mysteriously.

Another question would concern how Bee was pretty much a scub character in this chapter?

Then there's the fact that Nagato was somehow hit by the Totsuka Blade immediately after Chibaku Tense was destroyed? Should've the three of them have been in a freefall after being pulled in midway towards the sphere?

And this isn't really a question but I find it amazing that Nagato has not one but two lame deaths 🙁

He must have seen it in action. In addition, it's not to hard for someone with his observational skills, to notice that the Black Mass has a massive gravity pull.
He already had the Sword of Totsuka & the Yata Mirror, which tie in with the Imperial Treasures of Japan. All that was left was the third Imperial treasure, the Yasaka no Magatama.

PIS? Or maybe Nagato's Asura Path ability makes him strong enough to hold down and pwn Bee.

There was a lot of smoke, so that probably obscured Nagato's vision. Or Kabuto was just dumbstruck and being a douche like he usually is nowadays.

Agree with you here.

Yeah, I lol'd at that. Kabuto forgot about the only guy who was able to free himself from his ET control.

The audience figured that out when Madara said he could use the Human Path's ability, genius.
Naruto really should have figured it out when Nagato first summoned that Bird, but he himself said it, he's a moron. Instead of tossing a mini-rasenshuriken at that snake thing, he attacks Nagato and then struggles at trying to pull back his soul.

Moreso for Nagato than Itachi in this chapter. But yeah, these past two-three chapters have been about Nagato & Itachi, which is understandable as Naruto & Bee have been here over the last 50 chapters.

He's a freaking idiot.

Well, Naruto wasn't around then. So my answer makes him look more stupid.

I dunno. Itachi got some pretty nice moments. He saved them, figured out how to handle Chibaku Tensei, and then put Nagato down. Yeah the chapter is establishing Nagato as strong, but by letting Itachi basically be the one to pwn him by making Naruto and Bee act stupidly, it really does smell like favoritism. 😛

At least in this chapter anyway. If Sasuke and Itachi fight, we'll see who is Kishi's true favorite. awesome

I love this.

It really drives home that Kabuto is an incompetent moron who is waaaaaaay out of his league, the fact that he thinks he can show up out of the blue and play chessmaster against Madara, who has been successfully plotting for decades, is hilarious.

Yeah...I suppose this chapter was awesome if you hate Kabuto. And I kinda do. 😛

Still, no one should be that moronic. Naruto and Kabuto are idiots. Bee almost qualified but by being Bee, and thus able to do Double Lariat, he gets an excuse.

Well Kabuto has been a lackey to both Sasori and Orochimaru and appeared to be enjoying it somewhat. It's pretty understandable for him to see what it would be like to try imitating his superiors.

Bee's a Gary Stu same with Itachi so of course he's excused. I expected better from Naruto though which goes to show that he was more competent when he was stuck with Sage Mode.

Pity really. I always thought he was smart.
Ever since he started using ET, he's been a douche. But he managed to make Madara shit his pants, and that was lulzy & ossum.

Me saying he should have figured it out when Nagato summoned that bird is what makes him look more stoopid. uhuh

Naruto & Bee aren't the brightest tools in the shed, though yeah, I wasn't expecting Bee to be pwned so easily by Nagato.
Can you blame Kishi though? Itachi is awesomeness incarnate now. He stole the spotlight from Bee. awesome

Ya know, I'm actually hoping that happens. That way it'll clearly establish that Sasuke has now surpassed Itachi, like Orochimaru & Madara have been saying he would. Until then, he'll always be Itachi's b****. awesome

How can Sasuke surpass Itachi when Itachi has the mirror shield and sealing sword?

That makes Itachi, in the most literal sense, invincible.

Add on top of that that Itachi has an immortal body...then, boom, Sasuke gets AIDS.

That's the thing, he actually is pretty smart. Just stupid at the moment. And it makes no sense.

Eh, maybe.

He didn't even bother transforming.
And yeah. Itachi is really only cool because of his weapons. Which I'm so confused as to why he has them. Why wouldn't Madara try to get them?

lol I'd imagine Madara being like, "That guy is cosplay your brother and disrespecting Itachi. You should like kick his ass and stuff."

Madara teleports inside Susano'o and profits?

lol didn't Itachi himself just say that everything has a weakness? If the shield and sword are no exceptions to that rule, Sasuke would be the best chance for someone figuring it out.

The immortality part is silly. Then again, since they dissipate through emotional moments, it's very likely that they'd have one.

Same 'way' Naruto is supposed to surpass his father, despite Minato having one of the most broken jutsu in the series, combined with the best reflexes.

Or Sasuke will get his own Mirror Shield, Hax Sword, and Rasenshuriken level projectile attack to go with his Susano'o, or will develop S/T Jutsu surpassing those of Minato & Madara. kruemelmonsteryn0

Yeah, I know he is. Plus he's a genius at genetics and medical-related areas.
Since making Madara shit his pants, he's gone downhill. Maybe his use of ET has made him vastly overconfident.

You mean 'yeah'.

Chakra absorption greater than that of Samehada's says 'hullo'.
Naw. Kewl all round.
Because he knows Itachi would pwn him for that. awesome

Itachi would counter with 'Foolish little Brother'. Would stop Sasuke dead in his tracks.

As far as we know, they're items. Susano'o would be the thing with the weakness.

That emotional moment weakness is the thing that is really silly. facepalm2
