I'll report this.
Report all you want to, Astner, and I'll keep laughing at you for not being able to take your own medicine.
This is coming from the guy who had the audacity to troll a birthday thread in the OTF with inappropriate comments about the weight of other members.
This isn't an official warning to you, Astner, but I'm telling you to lay off of the report button for insignificant instances that is not member bashing or violations of the rules. If you keep pounding on the report button for stuff like this, then I will most certainly give you an official warning.
Back to topic, please.

Now explain to me how: "That's fine: I understand that points go cleanly over your head at times." Isn't an insult.
Oh, that's right. You've personally attacked me in the past, posts I've been kind enough overlook.

You know what? **** this shit! I'm out.

Let me get this straight. I'm not allowed to report people breaking the rules because I broke the rules? Despite the fact that I served a week ban for that rule infringement? Are you serious?Allow me to recite the rule: "Don't attack others. Personal attacks on others will not be tolerated. Challenge others' points of view and opinions, but do so respectfully and thoughtfully ... without insult and personal attack."

I've never once insulted you, rather I pointed out the blatantly obvious.
You are an attention seeker. Helen Keller could sense this from you.
dadudemon did not insult you, even if you inferred that he did.
You served a week ban for a clear cut case of rule violation. Deal with it.
Any more childishness from you will not be tolerated. Either debate like a grown up or leave. Oh, wait. You already have.
Spoiler:
I know it's not necessary to mention this, but he was misrepresenting that quote and took it out of context. I had previously accused him of missing points on purpose as a form of trolling. I mentioned it no more than two more times afterwards in two different threads. He's not fooling anyone with his claims of "insults".

Does anyone have any criticisms of a third party being Tobi: Madara's unknown third brother or son?

It wouldn't be very effective and it would cheapen the build-up. Theres no foreshadowing of that and no way the audience can figure out his true identity. Theres a reason very few mysteries end with 'and so the killer was a random guy we've never heard of before.'
Good point.
But it is irritating that we do not know who Madara is, damnit!
I think we may be disappointed. His fans have beat this into the dirt so much that no matter who or what he chooses, there will be a plot hole that needs some explaining to keep it from being a plot hole.
He had better explain the splitting madara thing well, if he's going to use that (that's the one I think is the safest as a writer...not necessarily the most probable).

Yea, but sometimes it is something like character X is really the previously unmentioned illegitimate son of a known character or something else like that and that's why he killed the victim.
Even if we don't know Tobi's name, we still know him very well as Tobi.

1. How would they have Hashirama's DNA?
2. How would the original Madara know Nagato?
3. How would such a character be a "shell of his former self" (only real explanation is that they were lying when they said that).

Yes, there seems to be quite a few unanswered questions with that theory.1. How would they have Hashirama's DNA?
2. How would the original Madara know Nagato?

1. Same way they have Madara's fan. Tobi clearly had to have been there at the end of the fight. Maybe some of Hashirama's cells were left? Or perhaps Tobi killed Hashirama during the war? Personally, that would fly with me.
2. Assuming the son/brother is named Nagato. If he really had the Rinnegan, we can interpret the name "Nagato" to mean something important.
3. Tobi lied.

1. Got it from Madara shortly before he died.
2. He wouldn't know "our" Nagato without some sort of elaborate explanation. It's possible that Nagato was a boy completely planned for. Meaning, Madara and this Tobi had planned to make a boy with the Rinnegan..or at least a boy that was compatible with the rinnegan. Meaning, Nagato was all part of Aizen's...I mean Madara's plan.
3. Because he's pretending to be Madara, he's obviously not going to be as powerful as Madara. Thus, he claims to be a shell of Madara because he really is a shell of what Madara's power was before fighting Hashirama. So, in order to maintain the ruse that he's Madara but much weaker, he just simply concocts a lie that works quite well to explain where his massive amounts of chakra went. 😄
Honestly, I think the split Madara form works better.
On another note, I do miss the joky/goofy version of Tobi. He was one of my favorite characters. (I've said that probably 2 times, now. ...)
Madara was the leader of the Uchiha Clan, and took them to the top of the world alongside the Senju Clan. Even if he and his clan are powerful, you don't get there without intelligence. If the Madara portions of Tobi's story is true, Madara was able to foresee the Uchiha's subjugation.
You have to admire Tobi's theatricality. He had the entire world minus two, convinced that he was Madara.
