So check for Bijuu control. High levels of chakra, check. Master planning, probable. Can't be one of the two strongest clans during a time of war without planning, and were it not for their trust in Itachi's loyalty to the clan, their plan for a coup would have succeeded.
They had high levels of physical strength. Uchihas had high levels of chakra.

Izuna was supposed to be pre-EMS Madara's equal. I'll give you Itachi. Sasuke doesn't have Naruto/A/B/Jinchuurikii level chakra, but compared to most other characters, he's high up. Will have to re-check though. Can't remember if the Uchiha had high levels of chakra, or powerful chakra, or both.
Eh, when Sasuke as a 12 year old can one-shot a 100 ton (ballpark) bear with a kick, I'd like to think he's strong.
Naruto's an Uzumaki with the Kyuubi sealed in him. Tsunade has better chakra control than anyone else in the series. Tobirama is an unknown with awesome control over water. Bastard is frickin' awesome for inventing ET though.

This chapter is the only reason why i still think tobi is a part madara and something happened when he was trying to make the eye plan.. So he created tobi before he died and using nagato has source of bringing him back...
