I'm not a really into the whole math business. Nor would I look it up. If Bleach fails to be the fastest, then it is just a failure. Bleach fails a lot.

Her naive innocence almost cost everyone on Fishman island their lives. If the Straw Hats hadn't been there, it's pretty clear that they'd have all died.

Then again, given the intelligence Hody has displayed and the fact that Jinbei is leet, perhaps he might have been able to stop them. Not likely though.

I just realized: Even if Luffy and the Straw Hats weren't there, Hody would not have won. The pills would have rendered them ineffective eventually.

Oh hey, I just thought of a much better pre-existing parallel for jinchuuriki/biju: Pokemon.

At first, pokemon travel around the wild where they're often destructive and violent. In order to use them, you must beat and capture them into a (pokeball/sacred pot/host).

At that point you may be able to use them, but they'll still often disobey or even attack their master. They aren't friendly, only caught. However, as the master grows stronger, they can make better use of it's power and prevent it from rebelling as much, allowing them to control progressively stronger pokemon/more tails. Eventually, the master's strength can make it submit completely.

Still, even once a pokemon listens to a strong master, it's not until they're friends that a partnership is at it's strongest.

See: Ash's Charizard, or even Pikachu.

The events even progress in the same order.

Actually, you can because it changes the system from a mostly* rigid collision to a complex collision where the "parts" flow around the person rather than transferring all of the inertia to the "target". Meaning, it reduces the energy transferred if the object is sliced up into tiny pieces.

This is how we create/d flowing water in CG: we just take the same volume of a solid and turn it into tiny tiny little objects, add some friction physics to the sim, add some gravity...then drop it. The tiny objects "flow" around the target like water (depending on the settings in the sim). This is how we create our fluid effects.

So chopping it up would reduce the energy transferred greatly IF we assume he chops it up into many small pieces.

But Neph WTFPWNED this point already as it looks like it vaps.

*In the real world, there's no such thing as a perfect elastic collision. Not even in quantum physics. 😐
