Well no, Temari didn't really act all that stupidly in the fight with Shikamaru, really. She pressed the offense, was careful to ensure the shadow jutsu of bawls would not be able to catch her, etc. Shikamaru was just smarter.

She didn't press her offense. She swung her fan like, twice. Maybe three times. And sat around while Shikamaru thought up a plan. Moronic.

Follow chakra. They drain chakra. The entire point of the Kankuro fight was to try and find him. If they could smell chakra, then there really wouldn't have been a fight.

I was under the impression that post time-skip Shino was bragging about how they could follow Tobi anywhere before he teleported, but I can be wrong...

They weren't doing so on their own accord. He was ordering them around. 😮

Keep in mind, Tobi was really just playing. Shino would never have surrounded him if he was even a tiny bit serious. And personally, I don't see him being able to surround Sakura, who has the reaction feats to dodge his attacks.

Meh, if Orochimaru takes over him and then Tobi gets double-crossed, I wouldn't mind it.

I've actually come to like Tobi more than Orochimaru. Sure, he was the best villain at first(and I do like him more than every villain except Tobi) but I don't really see him as final boss material.

Nah, I don't see Tobi not being serious as a conclussive proof that Sakura of all people can dodge those bugs, even less considering that Shino can use stealth so she just dodges into more bugs.

Consider of all things that Kakashi expect the bugs to have effect even using a quick movement ability that seemed teleportation, and that's how he noticed it was actually space warping. If a basic quick feet, faster than eyes dodge would fail against Shino Sakura ain't doing sh_t.

Indeed. Just because Tobi not being serious and getting hit doesn't mean Sakura would be able to dodge. However, just because Tobi wasn't being serious and got hit doesn't mean Sakura wouldn't be able to dodge either.

Remember, Sakura was actively trained to dodge attacks and had to dodge attacks from Tsunade and even showed a lot of skill against Sasori. Shino just lacks the showings to really be as impressive and one of his best assets, intelligence, is actually fairly matched with Sakura's really.

Personally, I don't think she'd be able to dodge Shino's Destruction Bugs when they surround her. Not that it matters anyway, since she likely wouldn't allow herself to be surrounded in the first place, and a simple ground punch should kick up enough debris to spread them out.

Eh, tactically & strategically speaking, he's better than her IMO.

On the contrary, an Orochimaru with the Rinnegan and/or Juubi would be uber. I don't think he's final boss material either, but Orochimaru double-crossing Tobi would be okay with me. If the final boss is not Tobi, it'll be Sasuke.

But there was a comment of how his ability was good against uber fast techs right?

The comment was that if Tobi had tried to use the body flicker technique(I guess this is the one referred to) the bugs would have known the direction he moved it and not moved. How they would have known is not explained.

Keep in mind, Sakura would probably not be in such a position.
