USH'S MATRIX GAME FOURTH ASSIGNMENT (PHILOSOPHY PATH)- 'The Journey'

"Ahhhh... so, if you remember what we were saying about tangible difference... would you say that a tangible- if not very perceivable- difference between the Matrix in the real world that DOES apply for the inmates, but does NOT for you... is that their choices are invalid, whilst yours are not?"

(This applies only to Rade...)

yes, basicly..because the deception is unseccessful for us..

"Thankyou," says Melitus.

(I can proceed to a question to all three of you once I hear Fire and Castor's opinion on their possible change of mind).

Having fun, Rade?

argh!

Heh... look at it this way. If you change your mind through a process of logical reasoning, then is not that learning something?

Which is what you are meant to be here for, after all.

but somewhere along the way..both what i say, and what you say..make sense...sort of in the same time.....
I'm curious about the scoring on these..

You're doing fine. Like I say, it would not be appropriate for me to judge 'right' or 'wrong'.

I just hope you are at least on some level enjoying the experience!

And hopefully, the more points that get made as time goes by, the more you will see that you are indeed learning things that will eventually lead to a conclusion.

well, yeah..ofcourse i'm enjoying it....why play, otherwise? 🙂

Yay... this section was always a risk, of course.

awh..when did you ever mess up a rp experiment?...😛

(Well, looks like I certainly do not belong in the Philosophy Path, doesn't it? I'll switch to combat next chance I get, though that will take awhile, methinks...)

(Until then, I'll sit and watch...)

"Yes I can accept that statement."

Ok, so Castor is reversing his original statement as well... I'll give Fire until the end of the day.

(personaly I'd like to debate wether or not choices in the real world are valid, cause I doubt that, anywayz back in game)
Yes your statement is correct we were wrong

Interesting though that would be, it is one of a thousand in-depth tangents we can take that I really had better not or this section will last 1000 years! I do have to keep to the point, I am afraid...

"Very well," says Melitus.

One of the doors open, and in comes Melitus' butler, holding a sdilver plate with a half-sphere cover on top of it. He walks calmly over towards the three of you.

"So, you say all choices made by those within the Matrix are invalid... including..."

The butler removes the cover from the plate, and upon it are two pills- on the left, a blue pill, and on the right, a red...

"... that one?"

(ooh..clever!....should've seen this one coming)

Rade allows himself a chuckle
"besides the presented information (false or not), a big part of making the decision is represented by elements of the person's personality.
This particular choice, we could say, can be driven by curiosity, besides the presented information"

"So now you are saying that it is not so that all choices in the Matrix are invalid?"

"no
the choices within the matrix are invalid because they're based on false information.
What i'm saying is that SOME choices can override the given information and the decision is made on different criterias...wich vary from person to person....like, as i said, the level of curiosity. These deppend on the false information within the matrix a little less."

"Again, you are trying to answer both ways. Either some choices in the Matrix are valid or they are not. The reasons why, one way or another, are irrelevant to that piece of logic.

Are some decisions valid in the Matrix or not?"

yes, some
